lose one coaster, lose all coasters, than you will lose yourself
The question is more than fair. But if the season pass is $99, it's only a better deal if the original poster is going to be spending three full days and paying retail each day.
If he's arriving late the first night, you can get the Starliner discount after 5pm. Unless if this year's brochure is different -- and you can order one online -- there should be buy one get one free Starliner tickets. The brochure has other discounts on full-day tickets. If you stay at a Cedar Point resort (and that included Breakers Express) a 2-day pass with access to Soak City is just $62. Three days would be a bit cheaper than the season pass plus you get the water park for free.
We did this last year when I took the wife and kids, and even with one more visit during Halloweekends, I still spent less on admission with AAA/Resorts tickets than a combo pass would have cost. However, we had so much fun last year that I convinced my wife we needed combo passes so we could go "whenever". As she says, I have a sickness. However, compared to other possible vices, this one is pretty benign.
If you want to be anal and plan everything out (like I did), order the getaway guide, call AAA, and call Resorts, and see which combination works out to be cheaper. Of course, the time you spend on doing all of this will be worth more than the $10 you eventually save, but planning coaster trips is often its own reward. :)

All you had to do was go to the Cedar point website and look at the prices.
