I had a plan to visit Cedar Point a few days before that. I might be able to finagle the dates. Siren's Curse has this cranky old man who doesn't give a crap about stuff pretty excited.

Edit- Wait. A spacial charity event? That's the day I was planning to go! Contemplation ensues...

I can just see the wheels turning in your head....

"I can buy a ticket to a charity event, get lots of rides on Sirens Curse, and help a good cause. Or for the same amount I can buy a Fastlane Plus and cut the heck out of every Gold Pass peasant on every ride in the park."

I'll definitely be there FLPing it, but probably not on the 28th. It's amazing how much the FL line shortened after only 1 week of TT2 this year.

Or like I am planning to do...

I can buy a ticket to a charity event, get lots of rides on Sirens Curse, and help a good cause AND buy a Fastlane Plus and cut the heck out of every Gold Pass peasant on every other ride in the park prior to the Sirens Curse ride time.

It's going to be a really good ride. I finally was able to try one of the "new" Vekoma models when at Energylandia a few weeks back and those trains are incredible. Even with the vests, they are easily the best vest OTSR's out there. They are soft, but give a lot so when you get airtime it doesn't restrict or dig into your collarbone. Can't say that for others like Maverick/i305 or the B&M models.

Also, the rides are ridiculously smooth.

Add in the tilt feature and solid layout following, no doubt this will probably be top 2 or 3 in the park for me (sorry, but nothing can take away #1 from Raptor!)

Look forward to riding, but I know it's going to be a bit of a mess the first week or two. Honestly, they should restrict Fastlane plus for a few weeks at least once it opens.

I can confirm that there is fog in the tiny tunnel.

That is all.

Promoter of fog.

They were busy cycling yesterday. It looks to be a very solid addition!

This is long (shared by a citizen of Pointbuzz), but if you start at the 3:00 mark you can see a lot of behind-the scenes work going on.

They are adding way more thematic elements to this ride than I ever would have guessed when it was announced.

That is quite a train storage/service building. Anyone know why it needed to be that large in scope?

Siren's Curse thematic elements > RRR

That service building can support multiple coaster supplies for that area and work space.

At WCO last year, Tony talked about being able to use the old hydraulic building for TTD to service trains/cars from other rides. May be doing something similar with Siren's Curse building.

What's nice is that the building seems to be jiving with the theming of the ride. At first glance I was wondering if it was some type of building the ride actually entered.

Every good coaster needs a shed

But, What’s in the Shed?

A dikfur.

To pee with, silly.

Easily one of my favorite movies. People under 40 have no idea what they missed out on in the 80s.

Google has a different definition...

A dikfur is a tool, specifically the Dead Air Mask end cap tool, used to remove the end cap from a Dead Air Mask suppressor. It's a tool that's traditionally called a dikfur within the firearms community.
