Cedar Point opening weekend question

I know that no one is psychic, but was wondering if anyone can tell me , in the past, how crowded is opening weekend, and bang for the buck would it be better to go saturday or sunday on opening weekend.

We would appreciate any input on this as we cant decide if we want to go or not or wait till later in the year. Don't want to drive 600 miles, freeze to death AND wait in long lines! ;)

As far as I've seen, it hasn't been all too busy, but expect lines due to it being the first crowds the crews will deal with.

Just don't expect to validate a season pass in any quick fashion...

I went last year the weekend after opening, and it was not too crowded. Sunday was definitely the better day. (even though TTD was down most of the time) Millennium lines were only like 20-30 minutes on that Sunday.

Opening day this year may be somewhat more crowded that previous years due to it being a Saturday. They held a special event on the Saturday before opening day for several years.
