Cedar Point Opening Day-Keep You Shoes On!!!!

Associated parks:
None

Opening day at CP was decent, could of been better.

You are probably asking yourself about the shoe thing, I will get to that later.

Anyway, didnt get to ride Top Thrill, oh well i'm not dissappointed.

MF was running two trains, the red train was being worked on all day. Got 2 rides in, front and back.

Magnum was great as always, 3 rides. Front seat, 1-3 and 2-1

Didn't get to ride Mantis, but i have done it before though, one train op, 2nd train is in pieces, so expect one train for awhile.

Power Tower 2 rides, one up, one down. Only one side of the Turbo Drop was going so, we waited 45 minutes.

Midway Market is the best place ever, awesome deal, and you get everything.

One ride on Wicked Twister, broke down waited 45 minutes. 2nd to last row.

At night we waited for MF, we were in the station waiting for the front seat. Earlier in the day we got Freeway stamps for TTD for 9-10. We are in the station and they just dispatched the blue train and they we freaking out and they were yelling to stop it. So they e-stopped it on the lift, not to far up. Turns out someone took off their shoe, that cost us out freeway on TTD. Took 30 minutes to get everything back to normal. They brought in security and ran the train. Back at the unloading station, I guess tehy escorted the person away. It was pretty funny, but why would you taked your shoe off, some people still amaze me to this day.

It was pretty cold up there but nothing can compare to a MF fronst seat ride at night, amazing.

Not to impressed today, but its opening day and things just need to be worked out.

Barberton Ohio- Where fried Chicken Rules!!!

Did they repaint Iron Dragon? In the webcams it looked like it had orange supports.
I am guessing your MF night ride was minus the bugs? or did you keep your mouth shut?

Iron Dragon was running fantastic, and yes, it was repainted. The track is a reddish-orange (but DEFINTELY orange), and the supports are a yellowish orange.
Wonder if the paint makes it run like crazy now (yes, that was sarcasm...). I saw the picture on Virtual Midway of the train on it, and must say that while the paint does look cool, it clashes horribly with the trains...lol.
