Cedar Point Lines

I dont know if this is against the TOS but im going to Cedar Point this summer and its my first time so im just wondering how long are the waits for the major rides and is the park usually crowded during the weekdays?

I just went last year in late june. Longest lines i saw were 1hr. Most of the rides averaged 25 - 45min waits. This was on a thursday and friday.

I do remember when we left CP after our trip was over, we passed by MF leaving from the hotel breakers, and saw MF's line pretty much full. This leaves me to say that weekends must get pretty crowded.

A typical MF wait is somewhere from 45 Minutes to an hour with TTD coming out. However, when I was there, it was close to an hour and a half since it was stormy and they had to shut it down for a half hour. WT is about 30 Minutes. Raptor and Mantis range from 10-30 minutes. Magnum is about 20-30 minutes. The rest are pretty much walk-ons excluding TTD. Disaster Transport was a surprisingly long wait for us however. It was about 20 minutes.
I went last year for halooweekends for sat. and sunday. On Saturday, MF,Mantis, Raptor, Mean Streak,Magnum, and Wicked twister was from 30-1 hr. On Sunday it was mostly walk on's or a 10-15 min wait for the front. I rode Raptor 6 times non stop because their was no seats were I was sitting.
Its funny how people try to guess the wait times of rides with TTD in relation. We won't know the lines with TTD this year, and the other rides, until the park opens. So don't put it into effect yet ;)

If anything this thread proves you can't guess wait times. Each day differs from the next. My answers would differ from anything listed here already. Last year we saw:

MF - 1 hour
Mantis - 1 Hour+
Raptor - 1 Hour
Wildcat - 30 to 45 min
Disaster Transport - 30 minutes
Wicked Twister - 15 to 20 minutes
Iron Dragon - 15 to 20 Minutes
Magnum - 15 minutes
Mean Streak - 10 minutes

Everything else was under 10 minutes. This was the last week in June last season. Your mileage will certainly vary.

It also depends on where you are in the park at what times of the day.

Overall, i thought that the lines were good last year. Except for Sat in Oct i found lines for anything besides MF, Raptor and the Giant Wheel to be quite short on an average day. Most often the Magnum lines were under 15 minutes and all the rest were less. I went about ten times in all months on all days of the week. Weekends in August are pretty bad too, but October Sat seem to be the worst to me.

Magic 8 Ball says... Wait until summer.

Well I went in July, on a Tuesday. The waits were very short none exceeding 30 minutes, most staying under 20 or 15 minutes. Mean Streak being a walk-on, with a two-train operation. Now, Millennium Force was a whole other story for us. We had to wait a whopping 2 hours. Very miserable & hot, considering the temperatures did bust over the 100 degree mark. Raptor and Wicked Twister were both under 30 minutes. Great lines if you ask me.

Pulls out Magic 8 balls...

How long will Top Thrill Dragster's line be? ... yes...

So there you have it, TTD's wait time will be yes...

SteelMonsters, my 8 ball is better than yours, it can write words out... Like wait until summer, not just "yes" ha! ;)

SteelMonsters scared us all by saying "Pulls out Magic 8 balls..."

Ouch, eight?...;>)

By the way, TTD lines will be 8 hours...I have behind the scene connections...

Well, I used to be able to see TTD from my house, then I moved.
Life's not fair.

Come to CP during Halloweekends. Its hilarious. Lines for the Magnum are usually about 2 minutes. I dont know if ttd will add to this, but WT sure didn't....

I am under the impression that the wait times for Magnum, Gemini, and Corkscrew may be longer this year becasue of the location of the new ride. Just look at what MF did to Mantis's wait times. Becasue the new ride has good capcity the wait time may be only about 2-3 hours on a busy day and 30 minutes to 1 and half hours on a quiet day. But that is my estimate.
