Cedar Point: June 16th and 17th

Associated parks:
None

My 2nd visit to Cedar Point, and the largest crowds. I was expecting fairly small crowds for a Monday and Tuesday, but was I in for a surprise.

Millennium Force- To me, I got a better ride this year then last year. Much Much air time on the 2nd and 3rd hills. What an awesome coaster. Down-side, 2 1/2 hour wait! After being in line for about 1 1/2 hours, the ride breaks down, but only to be down for like 30 min. Very much longer then last year. 10/10

Power Tower- 10 minute wait, drop side. Awesome experience. Rode launch side last year, the drop side is much better! 8/10

Magnum- 35 minute wait, running great. Just seems to be an awesome coaster. If I'm not mistaking, last year their were brakes around the turn-around, that I could actually feel. This year, we didnt slow down any during the turn-around. Maybe I'm just confused, lol. 9/10

Mantis- 1 hour and 20 minute wait! What can I say, much too long. The line did not look very long, but capacity is awful. The train coming into the station sits on the brakes for like 1 minute. But I do understand that many things need to be checked before the train can leave the station. Not much head banging at all, much better then last year. However, brakes on the first hill are too powerful, they need to be turned down. 7/10

Next day, we entered the park at 11, to find somewhat larger crowds.

Again, we rode Millennium Force, which was a 2 hour wait. Rode Space Spiral, Ferris Wheel, and Demon Drop. Demon Drop seems to scare me every time I ride, I think it is a great ride.

Onto Raptor- I rode Raptor last year, but however did not experience anything like this year! The line was about 50 minutes long, which did move very quickly. Raptor is running amazing. The mid-course brakes are still not on, offering a great ending. It just seems to run as smooth as glass. 10/10

Wicked Twister- I absolutley love this coaster in the back. The wait was 30 minutes, which seemed to fly by. Wicked Twister holds much power. Running full speed, sending the train almost to the peak of the back track. The train does not go all the way up the front, but almost. I think it never did though. Great coaster from Intamin! 10/10

After Wicked Twister, we rode Iron Dragon and Corkscrew within a 15 minute period. Iron Dragon is a fun ride, the first drop does offers a small rush, while dodging the supports which seem to be very close. Corkscrew, as I do agree with others is very rough, but there is just something about speeding through a corkscrew while guests are right under you!

To end the day, we rode Wicked Twister once again, a 45 minute wait. And riding Raptor again, which had an unbelievable hour and 1/2 wait. After that we managed to leave around 8!

However, I did not get to ride Gemini last year or this year, maybe next time. And I really wanted to ride Blue Streak, but didnt get to that. Mean Streak, I rode last year, had nightmares, that is all I have to say.

Dragster, do I really need to comment?

My top 3 rides in the park: Millennium Force, Raptor, and Wicked Twister (closely beating Magnum)!

The future is in the hands of Cedar Point!

Wow, you rode Iron Dragon and Corkscrew but did not hit CCMR nor Gemini?? What about WildCat? No Mean Streak? No Blue Streak (IMO the best coaster in the park)

You ride one side of PT one year, and ride the other the next? I make sure I get a 4 ride minimum on PT.
