Cedar Point In Oct.

I am planning to go to Cedar Point for the first time on one of the last weekends in October... Does the park run at full speed? (with exception of water rides of course)  Is the last weekend usually the busiest in Oct?  Another option would be to hold off until May...and go during the week if that seems better... Any advice/tips get would be greatly appreciated....     JLauer

It's the best time to go!!! No crowds, no waits. Just an overall great time. Just a little nippy, but who really cares? Have a great time! I know I will.
Holy Chicken, October is the best time to go, last year I went about middle of October.......All coasters were running, not too much of a crowd, and half the coasters were walk-ons! I walked on to Mantis! Mangnum and Raptor were 15 minute waits and the Force was just like 20-30 minute wait!

October is a very good time to go.  The only real lines are for the Haunted Houses.  But if you can also go in May, I highly recommend the first couple of weeks when most everything has short to no lines.
I bought the Plane Tix this AM.... October it is! Can't wait!  This has been a loooooong time coming!  Thanks for all the info....
That's a good time to go! you also my wont to look at there web site they have discount tickets for that time I think once in go to coupons and see what comes up

I will also be heading to the point October (the 20-21) and I was wondering if  Vertigo would be open during this time. I guess the better question is, is the challenge park normally open during Halloweekends?
lauer:  I know this is a little off topic, but where are flying in to and how are you getting from there to Sandusky?  Hotel shuttle from the airport?

I'll be flying in to Cleveland (Hopkins Int.) and renting a car.... A neon to be exact (Is that style or what???).... really cheap rates...Dollar Rent A Car $15 per day with unlimited Milage.....  A pretty good deal!! Staying at the Days Inn outside the park.... $30 a night! I hope the place isn't a dive!
