Well after putting it off as long as I felt I could, I finally got around to getting my season pass for this year. I went to Discount Drug Mart on Perkins Ave. and bought the Cedar Point Only Season Pass for $104, and then went to the park and bought a parking pass (and since it was only $15 a Joe Cool).

Since I was sick yesterday and still not quite up to 100% I did not figure on riding very many rides, but I did hit the Cedar Creek Mine ride as my first ride of the day (20 min wait). It was a little tight (I am 6'5) and since you have to have both legs on the same side of the divider, it took the rest of the people in my car to get the lap-bar down. But after that, and except for the pain in my leg from having it bent weird, it was an enjoyable ride.

The only other ride that I got on was Disaster Transport (25 min wait), the main reason I rode this was to get pictures of the Que (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c356/mdcomp615/Cedar%20Point/5-18-07/P1010089.jpg). With all the talk about the ride lately on the boards I realized that I didn't have any pictures of the inside of the que, so I decided to take some. The ride was the same as it always is, fun, a little short, and in much need of some TLC. I did notice that there were at least 3 sections through the ride itself that used to have theming but no longer do

The rest of the day was spent taking pictures of various rides, including Maverick and also the section of track that was removed. While looking at the entrance to Maverick I saw a few workers in the station with scaffolding working on the track (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c356/mdcomp615/Cedar%20Point/5-18-07/P1010025.jpg). Also just around the corner workers were loading part of the track on a flat-bed truck to be taken away (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c356/mdcomp615/Cedar%20Point/5-18-07/P1010038.jpg).

I also went to the new Rock 'N Country show at the Red Garter, I really liked the show, even the country songs had a definite rock flair to them, the band was awesome as well as the singers. I took some photo's, some turned out great (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c356/mdcomp615/Cedar%20Point/5-18-07/P2010102.jpg) while others had WAY too much motion blur. (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c356/mdcomp615/Cedar%20Point/5-18-07/P1010205.jpg) Does anyone know how to take low light, high motion pictures without getting the blur?

Oh yeah I almost forgot I did ride the train, twice, I tried to get some photo's of Boneville (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c356/mdcomp615/Cedar%20Point/5-18-07/P1010058.jpg) but it just goes by so fast that I can't seem to get the shots lined up very well. :(
