Cedar Point for the FIRST TIME tomorrow!!

Tomorrow, me and my usual coaster gang(my girlfriend) are geading up to Cedar Point for the first time.

First off I have a few questions:

1.Is TTD reopened yet?

2.What's the best ride to begin with?

3.What's the best time of day to ride MF, Mantis, Magnum, Raptor, Mean Streak?

Any help will be appreciated

1. TTD is scheduled to open today!

For the others questions, I'll leave that to the real coaster pros :-)

TTD is open today. They have an update every day on their website, cedarpoint.com. Persoanlly, I love to ride Raptor first if the line isn't long. Its my favorite ride. Mean streak has absolutely no line near closing time, raptor seems to shorten in the early evening, at least it did last summer when I worked there and I can't help you too much on the other three. They are very popular but very worth any wait! Have a blast!!
Start with Power Tower, down side first, then go back around and do up side. Move to Corkscrew next, then Magnum, Gemini, Mine Ride, and Mean Streak. You should be able to do all this before 11:30am. (If you have an early entry, do Millenium first then follow above).

The only other advice I can give is to wait until after 4pm to do Raptor, Blue Streak, and Wicked Twister.

Add in the rest as time permits. I'd say wait til later in the day for TTD, but you never know when it's going to run.

Scooby Doo and The Haunted Castle...MUCH more fun when you have ride partners!!!

TTD is up and running. Millennium and Magnum are both great at night. If you have the time, it is worth the wait for the front seat on TTD and MF. Ride Magnum in the back. Try to wait for train 1 (red train). MF is also great in the back seat.

Don't forget that they start giving out freeway stamps at 11:00 AM. You are able to get a stamp for two rides. Get one for MF for sure, and try for TTD. Last time that I was there, they did not give out freeway passes for TTD. A freeway stamp lets you enter the line about 15 minutes from the station. Once they give out all of the stamps, for the day, thats it. I think that it's 150 stamps for each hour the park is open. MF and TTD passes will go quick. You could probably hit Raptor, then head back and ride Mantis and then get your hand stamped for MF freeway and then head over to TTD for the freeway stamp and/or a ride.

Have fun. I know that you will. I have my fingers crossed for ya that you'll be able to get on TTD.

Someone may correct me if I am wrong, but I am sure I've been hearing that CP WONT be giving out Freeway stamps for TTD until the capasity improves. Of course at the moment, the ride is still prone to brakedowns and capasity hasnt been great either so until it improves, Freeway wont be running on it for a little while.

I would say wait until Late July or August until they start giving out freeway stamps for TTD

I wouldn't go if I were you. I heard there are people there that act black.

I went yesterday (Jun. 18th). TTD was closed all day until the very end when the park closed. I was lucky to get a ride and it was fantastic!!!! It is amazing to look down on Millennium Force. It's well worth it.

I prefer MF in the front, I found I got more airtime when I sat in the front than in the back. (But I dont know too much, I have only been on it 3 times).
Top Thirll Dragster is worth the wait. Its like a stright shot of adreniline (I know I misspelled that) to your heart. Wait for the front. I've ridden in every seat so far. The front is the best by far. Remember...a plane is launched 0-170 mph in 2 seconds off of a carrier. Top Thrill only goes 0-120 in 4 seconds. It is the closest you will ever come to being launched off an aircraft carrier.

My favorite ride is Millennium Force. You need to ride that ride at night and towards the front of the train. Also ride Raptor at night. Nothing like flying through the dark.

No matter what order you ride the rides at CP. You will have to admit that Cedar Point is the home of the best coasters ever put into one single park. Let me know how it goes.

Just a tip for riding any of the coasters at night. There are alot of bugs that live on the island. Several times while riding raptor in the dark, and several other roller coasters, my riding buddy and I were basically attacked by bugs. Meaning, they were everywhere and riding a coaster at high speads, especially in the front, can cause some collisions to occur. My riding buddy had dead bugs on his face and shirt once after riding raptor in the front at night! but try it any way, just beware!

Welcome back riders! How was your flight?!
Have fun man I wish I were there.

Yep, I was there for that too... Pretty neat actually, I was on Mantis around 10:15 whne someone said TTD was open. I figured they had closed the line cuz it was past closing time so I went over to watch a few launches, but I was wrong! They were letting people on! So I hopped in line, after about 45 minutes I was at the gate for the 3rd seat of the blue train. Palms sweating, heart pounding, I was so excited!! Then the whole ride went dark.... Waited on the station and they sent everyone home at around midnight... What a tease!! They did give out Freeway passes though for a later date which I used on Friday for the most intense 20 seconds of my life with clothes on.... ;)

^^^^^

thats cute (with clothes on) hahahaha!

Dude, I would be pretty pissed if that happened to me...getting ready to ride one of the coolest rides and then bam, it brakes down....but at least you got to ride later.

Also does anyone have pictures of the "christmas tree lights" on the tower at night?
