Note as well that the first clue included the phrase "Somethin's Brewin'!" At the bottom of the Whyte Lightning page it states "Proudly BREWED by the crystal rock bottling company of West Virginia" Of course if you check the actual Crystal Rock website you will find that they are based in Connecticut and do not have WV or that logo anywhere on their site.

I think that the hint "Brewin," could mean that either that they might call iy "Beer Run, or some thing along the lines of the other bruin, meaning bear, call it Kodiak or Grizzly.

It was RM "PREMiERdrum" who remembered his Cedar Point history. So the park once had a Crystal Rock Castle which, if I remember correctly, was apparently named after a local brand of beer, a brand which happens to match the brand given in the single-page web site revealed yesterday.
On the other hand, someone has also mentioned that some of the same graphic elements have showed up at Carowinds where they are preparing to announce their new...thing...on August 26.
I would not put it past our buddies in Cedar Point marketing to mislead the Cedar Point faithful with details of somebody else's ride.

Wouldn't surprise me either if CP had a new ride with the same name as another CF park's new ride. Generally speaking, we enthusiasts would notice these things, but the GP might not. Carowinds and CP are two markets that are slightly distant from each other. :)

^ The old ones made of plastic!
I think we may see the tallest & fastest woodie, plus the first LIM/LSM woodie lift hill.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't be surprised if, since they do say "lightning strikes twice" on the website, they build another double flume ride like they had with Shoot-The-Rapids until 1981. It would obviously be a little more updated and being a dual trough like STR was it would obviously have a better capacity than WWL did, at least after the incident. Then again, I have proved multiple times that I really don't know what I'm talking about, so there it is.

Well what can I say, SOB may leave some pretty big shoes to fill in that crap loaded category.
First woodie with a corkscrew? First cable-lift woodie? First woodie to break 100 mph?
Oh the endless posiblities!

...or perhaps a ride at a certain park in Southern Indiana is about to lose it's records for tallest water ride.
I'm still crossing my fingers for that GCI Wooden coaster.. But whatever it will be .. CP has ALWAYS thrilled us !
World-breaking water ride? Please say it ain't so....
I probably won't even bother to ride it at all -- or at least not for a few years, until the lines go down.

Carowinds apparently use to have a roller coaster named "White Lightning." If they choose to "resurrect" their classic coaster, they may choose the name "White Lightning" - hence "Lightning Strikes TWICE at Carowinds." What do ya think? Let the speculations begin!
