Spoiler: the Mouse broke down, had to be evacuated from the midcourse blocks, and from what I've heard never reopened.
Who has another evac story? The guy who walked down SFA Superman in 2000.

I'll write up a proper trip report eventually, but let me just say this... I think Zamperla has perfected the Wild Mouse. It's so good, and the best of any mouse-style ride I've ever been on. If you get a particularly weird weight distribution especially, the spinning is insane. No joke, you've never experienced any spinny coaster like this.

Looks amazing enough to try once. My innards can't take that kind of spinning, unfortunately.
The whole area looks fantastic.
It's not a buffet... you pay for a plate and that's it. But yeah, it's on par with the great stuff they have at Farmhouse.

That’s a ton of spinning.
The bright colors look great. This area of the park screamed that it should be Boardwalk for decades, but was never realized until now
Troika looks much better than the previous clashing colors. I hope there were funds in the budget to replace all of the non functioning lights on it lol.
Is this a step for Cedar Point to become an actual theme oark? With the rumored space theme of Dragster and the way CF is renovating and retheming entire sections of the Taft parks, I could see the Dragster area being themed to space.
That would leave the Gemini area and the entrance midway to the train station unthemed.
Holy crap that spinning! I've only ever got one ride that spun that fast and it was when the IX Indoor Park had a spinning mouse. Remember that, Josh? But at least that one is on level track, this new Mouse has some banking that might not sit well with me.
I will be stopping by Cedar Point on my way to work Sunday for a few hours. I hope to get a ride on the Mouse, but I honestly think that if I spin like you did at the angles the track banks at, I might legitimately puke.
It happens so fast that you can't tell if you're vertical or horizontal. I just ate before that, and I was fine.

Got my ride on Wild Mouse Sunday. I quite enjoyed it. It spun just the right amount for me, which is not a whole lot, but enough for it to be disorientating and at weird angles. I did see other cars spinning like crazy though, including one which was empty, which I thought was strange.
Couple thoughts:
1) It's a short ride. In terms of ride time that is.
2) It's a tiny ride. It looks insignificant sitting there in the new, large boardwalk area. The bigger than I expected it to be Grand Pavilion, Ferris Wheel and Windseeker completely overshadow it visually.
3) And you knew it was coming... capacity! Once it opened, I started the wait halfway down the final switchback (the single one that runs along the lift hill.) From that relatively close position it took about 15 minutes to board, which leads me to believe that a full queue could easily approach 2 hours.
Does it use continuous loading or do the trains fully stop in the station?

It is amazing how the in/out seems to be getting more complicated over time. I use my experience on Disney's Omnimovers as an example. Back in day I don't remember them stopping as frequently for load/unload issues. Now it seems like I can't stand in any line without a temporary shut down (often multiple) while someone is having trouble getting in our out. I'm not being insensitive. I know people with disabilities need that consideration. But, are there THAT many more people with disabilities in the parks these days compared to, say, 20 years ago?
Or, is this just the old man complaining?
Purely anecdotal, but my observation is that it's not ADA assists, it's just people who don't pay attention or are looking down at their phones.

Both time I rode WM the cars moved along for guests to climb out of and in to. But each time the car stopped right before departure and an op on each side checked the bars. It was maybe a 4-5 second delay and might’ve just been a blocking issue. All cars were on the track except one that was parked on the transfer track.
My second ride was aboard the cheese car which they made kind of a cute big deal over. It was a real spinner, too. More than my first ride which was in a car that was better balanced. My cheese ride had all men in it and I suggested to them that we put the biggest of us on the right. It worked.

Agreed. Used to be all I had to do was buy dinner.
Hi
wahoo skipper:
Back in day I don't remember them stopping as frequently for load/unload issues.
This goes back a bit, but I seem to recall a time when the skyride cars did not stop in the station either. Maybe it's poor memory, but I seem to recall walking beside them to get in, as you do on most traditional chair lifts.
