Cedar Point Blog Tease

Just Read This:

A little birdie told us...

If you ride the Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad this week, you might have a little "something extra" to look at along the way...

This is only the beginning.

anybody know what they are talking about yet?

coasterfreakone 100 voyage laps and still cant get enough
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the supports begin going up, but who knows.

Finally some action.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
I was there fri, sat and sunday and the only thing I noticed on the train ride when we passed the construction site was the supports for the new ride.( They weren't going up,they were just sitting there.) The color is really ugly. And is the track at the Breakers hotel the track for the new coaster? and if so, why is it red? All the coasters at CP have red, seriously. Except raptor and the wooden coasters.(MF has the red train along with corkscrew)

" Jealousy is a Sickness....Get Well Soon!
Because when you buy Intamin coasters in bulk, you also get an option of buying the paint in bulk. Everyone knows that you can't pick more than one color of bulk paint, so CP thought red would be the best choice.
I think they had some leftover from Maggie, so they just slapped it on. ;)

The "something extra" could be more signs that give out more hints as to what to expect.

Supports are already on-site, so they could go vertical at anytime and be visable from more than just the train... but the little signs that have been giving hints ("Hold onto your Spurs")... can only be seen from the train if they put more up along the tracks-only.

Maggie is orange. Geesh. ;)

Refering to the Magnum is red vs. orange debate, I believe.

Seriously, who makes cans of worms? I mean beans would have been so much more accurate...and boo red for new coaster!!! Hopefully we'll see some steel erection...ha..erection, you only live once!

Ride count on the Voyage: 40 Most consecutive rides on the Voyage: 36 Day after thigh bruises from airtime: Priceless

Apperantly a company called Zoo Meds, for one. ;)

Oh and PS - credit goes to the original poster on pointbuzz, but it looks like we're going vertical.

Those look to be banked at least 75 degrees.

Looks like it may at least attempt to have a theme if the supports are brown, sounds stupid, but when I think the old west, I think of dirt, tumble weeds and lots of brown!

And the radius looks rather tight to me, as well.

Makes me think we may not be looking at very long trains here.
