I bet the beer put the BUZZ in BeastBuzz! :)

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Jeff (or anyone else)-
What kind of attendance numbers did the Coasterbuzz events have? Not looking for exact figures but are we talking 50? 100? 250? Only asking out of sheer curiosity.

But then again, what do I know?

I think that particular BeastBuzz was just a bit over 200. We had the epic ERT parade across the park after it closed. It was hilarious because the enthusiasm for Delirium clearly decreased every cycle.

Yeah, but the best CB events were the smaller ones.

All the rerides you could handle on Wild Eagle in 2012, the area in front of Voyage looking like a triage unit as people hit the wall with the Voyage asskickings and flopped wherever they could to recover in 2007, the half dozen or so rerides without leaving our seats on Diamondback while waiting for the Beast queue to clear for the actual scheduled ERT session in 2013.

Yeah, that's very true. I think the days of those small group events are pretty much done at this point. The parks are really not in any hurry to do them. CP wants a pretty hefty fee up front to do them now. I can't say I blame them. There are enough club-agnostic events at every park now that I don't see much point in them. They've always been a pain in the ass to do.

Same thing's true about ACE events. While I always enjoy myself -- seeing Dolly perform at Dollywood during the 2012 Con was amazing -- they're "big events", so to speak. There were a number of events back in the day that were more intimate and friendly.

I remember one at Williams Grove where there was a 5-10 minute wait to ride Cyclone as that's how long it took to get enough people in the seats to safely operate the ride. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the front seat of a coaster with my feet up on the side of the train people-watching waiting for each of my re-rides.

I've got quite a few fond memories of CoasterBuzz club events. Probably my favorite being the 2009 Fall Affair at Holiday World and the Voyage ERT in the epic rain storm. I am never going to forget those front row rides!

That's the only enthusiast event I've actually attended, and that was just insane.

Hilariously, that video had been marked as mature for nudity. Vimeo can't explain why.

Yikes! Maybe it was the comment about showering at the end.
