Cedar Point, and WoA questions

Hey everybody. I have been a long time reader, but this is my first post. A few questions if anybody can help me out. I am planning a trip to WoA, and Cedar Point, and I was wondering....1) Are there buy one, get one free tickets for WoA, and if so, where can I get them. 2) I will have one day at Cedar Point, and I am hoping on riding TDD, what kind of advice can you give me? Should I do a mad dash when the gates open, and hope I don't have to wait three hours? Or is there a better way to approach it? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Running for TTD will not do any good. Unless you have early access to the park for staying at Hotel Breakers. The line is back by the sky buckets if you enter normal time. TTD usually doesn't start running until 11:30am most days. What I would do is go towards late evening and get in and line and wait it out.

Some coke cans have buy one get one free Sunday- Thursday for WOA. In fact, the coke I had at work yesterday was marked like that. I am not sure of the dates though, I don't really pay attention because I have a pass.

Crashmando is right about TTD. I have tried going early three times this year, and even did the Breakers thing. Not one of those times was it open before 5 PM.

McDonald's has SFWoA buy one, get one free coupons that are good Monday - Friday.
I think the coke cans are good Tuesday - Thursday and $10 off any other day. I am not 100% sure but thats what it is at my Six Flags out in NJ. Since you have only one day are you staying on site? If you are I would try and get a Starlight pass for $24 and wait inline for TTD the night before. Then then next day you can enjoy everything else in the park.

Thanks for all of your help guys. I will be at WoA Sat, and Sun, and the Point on Sunday night, and Monday. How are the crowds Sunday night, and Monday? Oh, and one more thing if I may. How far of a drive is it, from WoA, to Cedar Point?
It's a 1.5 hr-2hr trip on the turnpike. Cedar Point has been busy every day since the beginning of July.

But even if it's busy this weekend Sunday and Monday aren't too bad at CP. Saturday at WOA could get hairy if the weather is nice. I would expect more than 1.5 hours on a trip from WOA to CP.
I got my ride on TTD right at closing...only had to wait 45 minutes...however it was early July and I understand the park is less crowded then.

Question: is it possible for someone who is not staying at Breakers to reach the Magnum entrance before park opening. Could you say you are going to Soak City when you park and then just enter there...that way you would at least be ahead of the crowd entering at the main gate in the rush to Dragster. I'm trying to advise a co-worker who is heading for CP next week.

"How was your ride?"

I would say about an hour and a half to two hours for SFWoA to CP. At CP- on Sunday night, try and get on TTD... but on Mon, do not head to TTD in the morning. This is simply because the ride does not open with the rest of the rides. I was there mid-July and on 3 of the 4 days I was there, it didn't open til 2:00ish. So go to MF, Raptor, Wicked Twister, Magnum etc. before thinking about TTD. However, if you see TTD going, go and join the line right away. But seriously, how long you wait for TTD is total luck. Ya just gotta be prepared to wait for it, however long... but that said it is totally worth it!
