All 8 of our buses arrived at the park around 9:45, unfortunately missing the Running of the Bulls Me and my friend began our quest to hit all 14 coasters immediately ran to Millennium Force while seeing the park for the first time in a year. Raptor was of course speeding like I had heard. The line for MF went all the way to the tunnels, but it hadn't filled in the queues much at all. We probably waited an hour, and rode in 6-1 on the red train. Boy that was a great ride!! Finally to get replenished with the Force's unique use of speed throughout the whole ride felt awesome!
We then preceded to Mantis, but it looked too long. Instead we waited 5 min for spaceshot side of Power Tower. Magnum was great, short lines. It was a little jerkier in the back. Gemini was as smooth as can be, and a walk on ride, even with many seats left open. Some of the cars were actually closed on both blue and red trains, I wonder why?
Next was Mean Streak. My first ride on it ever. It again was a walk-on. It was a lot better than I expected. The roughness was fine, the only thing bad about it was the #@*$ #%^!$%^ trim brakes on the first drop!! We ate lunch while walking back to Mantis, but made a stop behind the pet farm to get a spectacular view of the worlds greatest coaster! I even touched the support!! Mantis again still had a long line, and only two trains running.
Around 1:30 now, we headed back to the front of the park, hoping to ride Raptor with its new speed paint (which looked absolutely great and stood out). We wanted to take Sky Ride, but it was closed from high winds, which it remained the rest of the day. Raptor closed when we got to it, probably a computer problem. I had to remind some of my friends that the train was not "stuck" on the lift hill, but stopped on purpose.
Demon Drop was also closed and was said to be for 2 hours. We tried 12-E (hehe), but the line was too long for a coaster like itself. We now realized the front of the park wasn't looking too good. We took a ride on Shwabinchen, and then went to Iron Dragging. It wasn't dragging so much, and was pretty good actually.
Coming back to the front again to check in at 2:00, Raptor was just opening again. We waited about 10 min. Boy it was fun! High g's and great inversions made it my 2nd favorite coaster at the Point. It took a minute to get off, I guess someone had thrown up in the train in front of us.
After meeting up with my other friends (which make fun of me for talking about Running of the Bulls, they don't believe me and get annoyed of my coaster talk )and bombarding the concession lady by Raptor with an order of 12 waters, we walked on Demon Drop. We all then went back to Magnum again, which I had a much better ride in 1-2 seat. While my friend Dane got a caricature drawing, I rode Woodstock Express. Dane, Phil, and I were utterly turned down from riding Jr. Gemini, mad that we couldn't get all 14 after all .
We took the train back to MF, where the four of us had a strange and hilarious time in the queue line (feel free to comment on these girls if you were in line at the time). A group of Detroit girls, probably 14 and cheerleaders, put on a big show for everyone in the queue line. they were singing and dancing this gigalo song. I whispered to one of them that "this kid's name is Dane, sing to him" at my friend next to me. He, completely embarrassed, was being watched by everyone in the queue line being sung to and having to respond. Ohh, you had to be there. The four of us rode in 1-2 and 2-1. It was one of my best runs on MF yet.
After getting our cool on-ride-photos, we took the train back to frontier town, getting a great view of a train going down MF's first hill. We ate dinner next to Lusty Lil's and at 5:45, headed back to the front of the park.
After fitting in one ride on each side of PT with some of my girls friends, we had to check in at the entrance to leave ;( At 6:45, we drove away as it started pouring rain.
All in all it was one of my best trips to Cedar Point ever. We didn't get too close to all 14, but it was ok. I found out Mantis was even longer wait than MF, so I was glad I hadn't wasted my time. Just another great trip to the greatest park in the world!!

If Millennium Force doesn't go upside-down, then how could Mantis?

Don't sweat it coastermaniac! With the elevator lift system, you're up and over the top so quick you don't even realized what just happened! Before you know it, you rocket through some overbanked turns ((blah)) and large straight hill with a *bit* of air, a station fly-by, ANOTHER overbank, and the ride hits the brakes.
The only hill that *might* get to your stomach is the first drop, and even that's anti-climatic, due to the lift system, so I don't think you should have any problems...
He's right on that. You're sure FLUNG down that drop f a s t!!
I'm going next Thursday with an uncle in a wheelchair. Can you say, "walk up the exits"!;)
Hey man, I will be up there on Thurday too. Maybe we will see you.

thanx! that really puts me at ease. i think my mom scarred me for life when she took me on a log ride when i was REALLY little. ever since then i have always been scared of that feeling.
Does anyone know how long the MF line is usually running late in the day?
