Let me start off by saying that I think that Steel Vengeance is my new #1. Just wished it'd have been running more than one train so I could've ridden multiple times. I can relate with the TR's about horrible guest experiences at the flagship park. Already well documented. I am not going to rehash. It's an obvious staffing issue early in the season.
What a ride. It takes twisted timbers, and multiplies by 20. What an intense experience. Only El Toro, Lightning Rod, Boulder Dash, or the last row of the Ravine Flyer II come close in intesity. I need to ride again to realize. We'll be back in the fall. I got to ride all the new to me rides since our last visit when Gatekeeper was new in 2013. Rougarou, and Valravn. CP is the best at making rides record breakers for their park.
Sometimes I wish other parks would push that envelope, and am happy that I have Hersheypark as my local park. Now I am hoping that the rumors about Wildcat being RMC'd are true? I hope that's true.
Waldameer on the other side of the spectrum reminded me of a cross between Canobie Lake, Knoebels, Del Grosso's, and Williams Grove. Great selection of rides for the small footprint of their rides. The Ravine Flyer 2 is the exception. My wife and I both rode in the front seat. Our usual favored location is the front seat, but the Ravine Flyer 2 is the exception of that rule. Back row is the best. Amazingly intense. Blew me away.
Loved the location. The view of the lake from the Ravine Flyer were amazing. Riding Laff Trakk outside was different. Good collection of classic rides in a small footprint.
Thanks for your TR. I love to read other peoples' experiences, but not always the best at getting 'em done myself. I'm making an extended version of this trip the last week of June and hope to have comparable experiences (first ride on Steel Dragon, first ride on Laff Trakk, first ride on SteVe, first ride on Twisted Timbers, etc.). Hoping by then CPs running a bit more smoothly.
Seriously. When a park official tweets out publicly to stop calling it that, people should take the hint.
But when I posted that on Reddit in response to someone calling it that, I got downvoted to hell and back.

Yeah, but Reddit.
I am confused... Why does this Tony Clark guy want me to call him Steel Vengeance?
Seems to me Standard CoasterBuzz Shorthand Procedures™ would dictate that we use SV.
It's functional and follows the acronym style everyone understands (CP, BGW, WDW, etc).
SteVe just feels like an attempt to be cute...and is somehow even worse than Millie and Maggie.
And guess what, SV is even quicker!
Fine. I've been converted. My one and only time posting with SteVe will be my last. (Okay, this time will be my last). I look forward to my ride on SV at CP. Everyone good?
Discussing the minutiae of things that don't remotely matter or pertain to the industry is the only reason I'm here anymore.
I always presumed it was because you could exist in many places at once so, like, why not.
