On Sunday morning I got up and decided to go to CP for one last ride. I arrived at the park just before 10 am and the parking lot was empty. The winds were very high but all the attractions were available.
I walked on to every coaster in the park except TTD. TTD was a 30 minute wait around Noon. I still feel that this was a walk on ride. Raptor 1x, MF 2x, Mantis 1x (against my better judgement), Wildcat 1x, Iron Dragon 1x, Mean Streak 2x, Cedar Creek 1x, Gemini 1x (both trains running but only seating the blue train, sand bags in the red train), TTD 2x, Wicked Twister 1x, Disaster Transport 1x, Blue Streak 1x (the best ride I've ever had on Blue Streak), Magnum 1x and Woodstock Express 1x. I elected to pass on Corkscrew its just not a comfortable ride.
I was also looking around the park for clues as to where a new ride (if there is a new ride) may appear. I did not notice any markings or tree removal. However, I kept thinking that the queue area inside of mean streak could be eliminated and a flat ride could be put inside of Mean Streak. I know I'm reaching with that idea but just humor me.
I left the park at 2pm and returned to Metro Detroit by 4pm. I cannot wait until next year!

I agree with you 100% on the mean streak thing. Though instead of taking out the queue area, i think they should just tear down the whole ride. You can't say honestly that that ride is fun at all. the best part about it is it is long. I'm 6'7" and besides my head getting bounched around and feeling like the train is going to fall of the track. My knees take a brutal beating on that ride as well. I just think that if they want to build another big market coaster they are goign to need room, and i think this is the best available space they have.
Just my opinion.
Thats also sweet you got to walk on too everything, i wish i would have went up there that day. You shoudl of called me.
There were indeed survey marks painted for the new "attraction". You just had to know what you were looking for. =:^)
