This was my second trip to CP after CoasterMania in June and I was really excited to finally ride Wicked Twister. I heard mixed reviews about this ride. Some say they like S:UE better, some say there crazy and WT is better. I came to the conclusion that I like WT a lot better.
RIDES:
Wicked Twister: 9/10 - Rode 3 times (all in back)
It seemed like they weren't running this ride at full speed today? Anyone know why? Anyways, I sat in the back seat and was very, very impressed. The back spike has to be one of the neatest feelings on any coaster that I have ridden.
Millennium Force: 8/10 - Rode it 2 times.
What's up with this ride? When I've ridden it before the trains didn't sound like a go kart going around the track. CP definetly needs to do something with the trains. Anyways, getting on the topic, I was unimpressed with this ride. Even at CoasterMania I did not get as much airtime as I normally do. But you can't beat that first drop......
Magnum: 9/10 - Rode it 3 times.
What's up with the Magnum? This ride was going faster than MF! I've never gotten as much airtime, except at Coastermania, on this ride. I now have new respect for this ride.
Gemini: 7/10 - Rode it 1 time.
I never remember the Gemini being this fun! The frist drop suprised me and so did the bunny hops going back. I almost came out from under the lap bars!
Mean Streak: 3/10 - Rode it 1 time (then took Tylenol)
Never in my life have I actually wanted to get off a ride. They braked this ride so much we almost stopped on the second hill. Also, it makes the most annoying squeal in the world.
Mantis: 6/10 - Rode it 1 time.
As I've said before the best part about this ride is the first part of it. After that it feels like my legs are going to break. And hopefully, CP, will paint this ride.
Raptor: 8/10
Did they repaint Raptor? It looks nice. Geting back on topic, I never remember Raptor flying that fast! It really suprised me. The cobra roll was rough, and so is the brakes at the end. But a good ride indeed. (While waiting in line, I saw a man in a Coasterbuzz shirt. I was going to say something then I didn't see him again!)
Draggin Iron: 2/10
Truly, the only reason I rode this ride was just to see the construction site (Holy cow is it big! More later on). It's definetly no BBW.
Demon Drop: 5/10
Nothing to really say about this ride. It was good.
GENERAL RAMBLINGS:
-NEW RIDE
--This new ride is going to be really, really, big. The entire site from Magnum to Iron Dragon is leveled. Also there is a piece of track there that is red and white and is connected. Not that many supports on the site. And the track behind Mean Streak is still there.
-FOOD
--Don't buy the pizza but Toxic Tunnel (Haunted House) it's crap. Definetly get the hamburger by White Water Landing. It was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten.
LINES
--A ton of people here today. At one point MF's line was 2 hours long and Mantis's was 1 3/4 hour. Raptor usually didn't have a line more than a half hour. Too many people!(And I know I went on a Saturday).
-HALLOWEEKENDS
--This was my first time going to CP for there Halloweekends and was very impressed. They go all out with there theming. Also the Fright Zone in Frontier Town was pretty cool. Kudos to CP.
All in all I had a very good time and am looking forward to going next season.
