CEDAR POINT -- Nothing compares
I know I'm being redundant here, but I see an argument waiting in the wings. Cedar Point is without a doubt the best amusement park in the world no matter what you're looking for in a park. I can't WAIT to be there on May 5, opening day.

Wrong. I'm a just a big of a CP fan as you, but that's not a true statement. What if you're looking for theming? Dark rides? Good woodies? etc.
CP is great, but in very specific ways.

Cedar Point truly rocks, but it's certainly not without its shortcomings. The food is mediocre. The queue areas are substandard. The theming is weak. The kiddie areas are unimaginative. The layout of the park is imperfect. Causeway traffic is no treat. Where are the dark rides? Where are the unique attractions?
That said, it's an amazing coaster park. The collection of flat rides is better than average. The setting is great. They know how to run their thrill machines. However, it still lacks everything from shade to character to theming that defines so many other parks. Those things do matter to some people.

Poor food? I guess you've never tried the homemade french fries covered in cheese. Spring for the chili and you've got yourself a meal!
The 'themeing is weak' because it's not a theme park, it's an amusement park. Big difference.
There's plenty of character there too. It's the second oldest park in the country. Take some time out next time you're there to visit the museum, you'll find plenty of character. How many parks can boast the kind of history that Cedar Point has?
You could say I'm biased cause I work there, but I'm sure there's plenty of other non-employees who'll agree with me.

personally i don't have any desire to visit CP as it dosent offer anything i can't really get elsewhere.
Cedar Point is the greatest park ever. It's history is very old. I spent about 2 hours inside that museum alone, lol. And the reason that the themeing sucks is because it isn't a theme park, it's an amusement park. Now, if Disney had no themeing and claimed o be a theme park, we'd have a problem on our hands. Cedar Point doesn't need themeing.
Also, the food is excellent! Ever eat at Johnny Rockets or have one of the huge Turkey Legs? Wow...good eatin.
