Cedar Fair/Six Flags Merger

As long as this ends with Basoul leaving then I'm all for it.
Thinking of markets with overlap-

Virginia has some overlap because KD draws a LOT of guests from Northern Virginia who might also go to SFA. I could see this being the death knell for SFA as that park is the perpetual underperformer and has been under-invested for decades.

Northern California but CGam is already winding down

SoCal is a problem though. SFMM and Knotts are both at the top of their chains respectively on attendance thanks to year-round operation. The parks are only an hour apart. It would be surprising if they offer a pass that includes both parks. However I wouldn't mind if my legacy Diamond Elite Six Flags membership with dining would suddenly start working at Knotts too!

As I said in the Demon thread some of the smaller parks should be sold to cover debit and would be better served by Parques Reunidos, Herschend, or even Merlin.

Frontier City, LA Ronde, SF America, Discovery Kingdom, Darien Lake.

The problem would be the Cap Ex required to get SF parks up to even the new low CF standards.

The food problem would truly have a set of fresh eyes and make a lot of money if they could find the employee to expand the current CF playbook.

But the debit load both are carrying is not going to help.

Gonna be interesting to see how fast they ditch the DC license. Assuming this happens, of course.
