Cedar Fair's 2002 Plans

I read some news from coasternet and heres what they said:
Cedar Fair Parks
Cedar Fair just recently announced next season's capital expenditures to be in the range of $40,000,000 - $45,000,000
Now if this is true I've developed a plan of what Cedar Fair is potentially spending its money on.  If any of you folks can help me make more sense I'd appreciate it.  Mr. Peck, Jeff, and anyone else your help would be appreciated.
Cedar Fair announced that Michigan's Adventure is getting 5 million for capital expenditures next year. So that takes the till down to 35-40 million.

Dorney Park is getting a theatre and a flat ride (rumor is its similar to the Aero at Kennywood) So lets say that's 3 million there. Which knocks down the capital to 32-37 million.

Cedar Point is getting a large impulse and a sit down restaraunt. After adding in extra cost then the normal impulse I figure you can knock down 12 million more off. This will bring CF's total to 20-25 million dollars.

We know for sure that KBF is getting a roller coaster ("Grease") so one should assume that we're talking 10-15 million here since it looks like this is a new kind of ride. This brings your total down to 5-15 million.

Worlds of Fun is getting ThunderHawk a Huss Top Spin which should run 2 million I'm sure their also being allocated money for capital improvements so lets say 3 million. That's 2-12 million.

If Dorney and Worlds of Fun gets VertiGos like it has been rumored that's another 3 million dollars so we're talking 9 million (They're obviously not getting one if you're using my minnimum numbers)

Knock some more money off for the Oasis Water Parks improvements along with any improvements their making on hotels and we're looking at 3-4 million.

This leaves Valleyfair with 5-6 million dollars. Unfortunately this isn't enough to install a b&m invert and my guess they'll use 4 million dollars for maybe and I repeat maybe an Invertigo, finding a solution to the flooding problem so they can expand and some capital improvements.

Quite frankly if they just use the money to repaint Wild Thing and High Roller (This thing is crying for new paint) and install a dj booth in the Wild Thing and Power Tower lines. Along with adding some dikes to fix the flood plain that'd be cool with me.

Funny, I haven't heard anything about Dorney getting an Invertigo, and based on the press release from Dorney the other day, I'd say there's no coaster next year.

Well, other that the new ride at Cedar, A lot of money is going to be used to demolish the aquarium and they are currently updating a sewer line up there. I remember when Americana re-did all there sewer lines it cost up to $4 million. Im not sure whether or not Cedar Fair counts these as "capital improvements".
hi 19....;)

Is Cedar Point still on the boardwalk project?

Top Spins, usally, for a park model can run between $1.8 and $2.4 million. Since WOF may do exactly what Dorney did (the fountain and landscaping) you may see this Capital Improvement hit close to $3 million.
So John, do you think I underestimated World's of Fun's capital improvement.
Intamin Fan, sorry for the confusion

I think you mean VertiGo, which is the name of the S&S thrillshots at Cedar Point and Knott's.  An invertigo is a Vekoma inverted face-to-face boomerang, like Face/Off at PKI.
