Cedar Fair water park attendance takes 15% hit

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Cedar Fair reported this afternoon that its overall August attendance was up 3% including the addition of Geauga Lake, and up 1% without the park. Attendance was severely impacted by a 15% decrease in water park attendance, due in part to cool and wet weather.

Revenue was up 2% on a same-park basis, or 7% overall.

Flying in *commercial jets* is almost certainly safer, not only because of public awareness but also the TSA and improved security/screening. (Of course, now there are charges of *racial profiling* regarding people of Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian origin....no kidding!).

Overall safer? Not while we're creating more terrorists faster than we can kill/capture the ones that were already out there. If we really want to be *truly safer*, then we're just going to have to accept the FACT that there's a "New World Order", one that demands that the US work WITH international agencies like the UN to create less of a hostile atmosphere towards our own country. If our ALLIES don't trust us, what can we REASONABLY expect from our enemies?

Now, back to waterparks....Global Warming DOES help to make them more popular....and profitable! ;)
