Cedar Fair LP, which three years ago saw the price of its stock dip to around $6 a share on the New York Stock Exchange, on Wednesday posted a record-high share price during trading and closed on a record high. The publicly traded company, which owns seven water parks and 11 amusement parks, including Cedar Point in Sandusky, reached a high of $36.48 per unit shortly before 1 p.m. and closed at $35.80 per unit. Ouch. I sold in the teens. My realized loss was only a couple hundred bucks (more than made up for in distribution over the years), but I would have made a bit of coin if I held on to it.

Yeah, I'm glad I held on. I've more than doubled my money over the last 3 years. (most of my investment was before the price tanked)

Nice to see the unit price has recovered so well, and that the dividend keeps increasing as well. With the reinvestments, I've added around another hundred units to the couple hundred I purchased.

Mostly I'm glad they never sold out to Apollo for what was it, 9 bucks and change a share?

You haven't doubled anything unless you sell it;)
