Cedar Fair let lapse a lease in a Charlotte business park it acquired as part of its June purchase of Paramount Parks Inc. Former Paramount Parks IT and payroll moved to Carowinds.

I hesitated even posting this, because there was never any question in the first place other than the one created by
The Blade. What did they expect, that Cedar Fair would say, "Yeah, we're going to can most of those people and close the office?"

For some reason, the Blade has run numerous editorials criticizing Cedar Fair / Cedar Point for their business practices, especially admission price increases. I find it ironic and quite amusing that the Blade - which is now trying to force extreme wage concessions on its unionized workers through a lockout - would criticize how a profitable business operates when by the Blade's own admission it is hemorrhaging money.
