Cedar fair now offers a "all park parking pass".

Parking passes are now for sale on the michigans adventure site only, and are the windshield stickers...not on your season pass.

They are however, only $35 bucks.

Also worth mention, was that if you buy your season pass at michigan adventure for next year, you get a free cedarfair jacket.

Here is the direct link to the michigans adventure pass page.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

But if you buy a platinum pass (valid at all Cedar Fair parks), you get free parking chain-wide with that pass.

You only need a window sticker if you get a MiA only season pass.

the platinum pass is replacing the maxx pass which only cost $10 over the regular season pass price. now the platinum pass is $55 over the cost of the MA regular season pass price which was free 2 years ago...sounds like a 6 flags move to me.

regular season pass...$85
platinum pass....$140
parking pass...$35

if this is chain wide my pass stands to increase by %50 as Dorney always offered free parking to pass holders. *** Edited 8/29/2007 7:55:05 PM UTC by alfundo***

^Wait to see what the difference in price is for other parks. This could just be since they are so close to CP and they are trying to give an affordable MIA only pass.

But the $85 regular season pass only got you into Dorney Park. Only the Maxx or MaxxPlus pass got you into all of the parks.

Maybe Dorney will still include parking with the regular season pass.

The MaxxPass was $125 and the MaxxPlus pass was $164.95 this year, and that did not include parking, so this is a great deal.

If you had looked at the page, the regular Michigan's Adventure season pass is still only $84.95. It's only the Maxx and MaxxPlus passes that are being changed to the new Platinum Pass.

my 2006 DP season pass got me into all CF parks at no additional fee. 2007 it was an extra $10. it is not a great deal for me. i did look at the page and included that in my post.

I agree with RavenTTD. This is only Michigan's Adventure's pricing. Canada's Wonderland has started selling 08 passes, but there's no mention of Maxx or Platinum passes, so maybe all the Platinum pass pricing details haven't been worked out for all of the other parks yet.
Last year the Maxx Passes prices were nearly the same at all parks (and certainly MA, CP, KI, and GL) so I assume that this will happen again. If it doesn't, guess who will be making one trip to Muskegon this year...

Except for the fact that Six Flags season passes are notoriously cheap (even being the price of a regular 1 day admission at times). It might be dumb, but it certainly isn't six flags.

WOW, We offer a deal on our "WELCOME MAT"

Whoopie!

I think Cedar Fair finally saw the stupidity in their Maxx Plus Pass. It was cheaper for me to buy an Oceans of Fun pass in addition to a Maxx Pass rather than getting the supposedly "best value". I'm greatly looking forward to this more reasonable price not just for all the CF ride parks but also my local separate gate waterpark. If WOF offers free parking with as well it will certainly seal the deal for me getting a Platinum Pass.

Prowler. Opens May,2 2009.

If the Platinum Pass is the only option for CF park reciprocity in VF country, I won't touch it. I won't drop nearly $450 into an option I just might use (cuz frankly? My kids voted against it this year) for the worthless 'bonus' of waterparks a zillion miles away.

I'll chuck CP, GL and PKI from next summer's itinerary and replace it with IB, Mt. O and HW. In a heartbeat.

Ham-fisted CF ticketing options will get the same salute from me that Disney's get....one with my most prominent digit waving high and proud.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Jeremy, I flip the bird off my back deck everyday at KI and head straight for one of those parks you mentioned four or five times a year.

According to Michigan's Adventures site, you have the choice of the windshield decal or having it on your season pass.

^No you dont have a choice, either you buy the Platinum Pass and get parking for free on your season pass, or you buy the MIA parking pass only and get a sticker.

Read the last line of the website
"2008 Season Parking Decal

Cost: $35.00 each

Season parking decals are good for unlimited parking at any Cedar Fair park during the 2008 operating season. Season Parking decals are applied to the windshield of a vehicle, and are non-transferable.

Guests who do not wish to purchase a decal may purchase a season parking pass printed on a photo ID card."

To me that sounds like you get a separate pass with parking on it. So, you'd have a season pass for the park and a season pass for the parking. Two cards to potentially lose. :) But, you could pass the parking card around to different family members (or friends) which sounds a little counter-productive to me unless it has your picture on it.
