Cedar fair juices up the 2008 season pass offer.

^^No soup for you!

"Bring me the finest meats & cheeses."

I love this place. It never fails to entertain.

Back on topic: I'll be renewing my Maxx (Platinum) during my trip on the 28th. The platinum pass already comes with parking. (Still $140)

I got my Platinum voucher yesterday at Cedar Point. Along with it, I got my complimentary admission and my VIP Jacket. The way they're working it is, you show them your voucher and they have 2 stamps. One indicating that you recieved the ticket and the other indicating you recieved the jacket. So I'd say that anyone who has gotten vouchers up to this point would be elegible for getting the free ticket as well as the jacket.

I am not sure about the free tickets, but you can definitely go pick up your jacket using an already purchased e-voucher.

I saw several people that had 4-8 or more e-vouchers for families picking up their jackets.

I saw one flaw in the system. Many people could easily obtain multiple jackets with only one voucher.

I am not going to tell you how this would work, to keep honest people honest, and to not give any ideas to dishonest folks. Trust me though, I hope no one figures this out to an extent. The possibility could exist of them running out of jackets for the foks who honestly purchased a pass for them.

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

They stamp your voucher after you pick up a jacket. How are you supposed to beat that system?

And I saw exactly what I expected would happen yesterday. People get their free ticket, walk out into the ticket plaza, and try to unload their free ticket for whatever they can get. Really stupid move.

Ooops. I mistyped earlier. I stated "with only one voucher." What I meant to type was "with purchasing only one voucher"

BTW, We bought our family passes at KI yesterday (10/21/07) and were told jackets would not be available till 10/28/07. Has anyone else really gotten a jacket yet and if so where?
Never mind, just found this on KI website:

Jackets will be available for pick-up at the park from 10am - 4pm between October 28, 2007 and November 11, 2007. Jackets not claimed before 11/11/07 may be picked up at the park in April of 2008. They're not that cool. They have a mesh liner instead of cotton and no pockets.

I got mine on Saturday and the jacket certainly isn't a $39.95 value in my book. I was shocked there were no pockets, which pretty much makes is useless for wear at a park for me.

The free ticket? I may use it on closing day and take my senior mom. But if I don't, I won't feel badly about it considering it was free to begin with.

I didn't even think about the possibility of selling it for cheap outside the gates. I figured CP would have put a stop to that kind of activity.
