Why do the Cedar Fair General Mangers move around so much? Isn't Daniel Keller GM of CP for only 2 years?
Anyway, if you personally know these people or just love what they've done, post it. Please don't start a "war" with how crappy he did this or she did that. Let's try to keep everything positive.

If only it was 90 degrees in the winter Dorney could be open.
They don't move that much. Don Miears was at CP for a very long time. Keller just moved up the ranks. They promote from within. Jack Falfas came up from Cedar Point, and I think did a couple of seasons at one of the smaller parks, didn't he, before going to Knott's? I'm sure he'll be out there for a long time.

A few of the Knott's managers really get into the park and do the dirty work. Especially on Xcelerator. All summer long there were 2 maintance and/or operations managers (in suits) helping out with the controls, checking restraints, and going around for loose articles. I've also seen Maintance Managers (the guys in suits) respond to breakdowns on perilous plunge and ghostrider. Jack Falas will always pick up trash if he sees any while he's in the park.
Yet I hear they treat their employees REALLY bad. One screw up and you're out (ie going past a red light in Calico Mine ride).

Any good manager does. (and that goes for any industry)

I just found all of this information on Cedar Fair's 2001 annual report.
Richard Kinzel: President and CEO since 1986 - 29 years with Cedar Fair
John Albino: GM at DP since 1995 - 27 years
Phillip Bender: GM at WOF since 2000 - 23 years
Jack Falfas: GM of West Coast Operations since 2000 - 26 years
Camille Jourden-Mark: GM of MIA since 2001 - 1 year
Daniel Keller: GM of CP since 2000 - 28 years
Larry Mackenzie: GM of Valleyfair since 2001 - 24 years
-----------------
They didn't neglect to mention it. It just has no place in a Cedar Fair annual report since Cedar Fair wasn't involved in the park until 2001.
Jack did go straight from Cedar Point to Knott's and had the earlier stint at ValleyFair. Kinzel was the GM at ValleyFair back in the early 80's.
WOF has had two sense being purchased in mid 1995.
Dan Keller (late 1995-2000)
Phil Bender 2001-Present
Since we aren't supposed to talk about bad things...I will skip Dan.
Phil on the other hand is a completely different man. Phil has taken the position of upgrading the parks current facilities. From painting to remodling to concrete issues. He has been trying to get the park back to the theme it was built upon.
Regardless, I've been in quite a few situations in the past where I've had the opportunity to get to know her. Everytime I've dealt with Camille I've been impressed with her cooperation, promptness, and overall kindness. Unfortunately I'm aware that a fair number of people see her as a shoe in or as daddy's little girl...but she's definitely getting used to the whole corporate thing quite well:).
Not to be a feminist or anything, but I really love the idea of my homepark being the one with the female GM; it's something to be proud of...for me, anyway.
Sorry, I'll step down as the MIA freak for tonight ;).
