Schlitterbahn (the company) was facing a lot of uncertainty after the Kansas City accident. It does not surprise me that they were ripe for a sale...though the buyer is a little bit of a surprise. This move may put Cedar Fair at the top of the water park industry and, assuming the relationship with NBGS remains solid, could bode well for all Cedar Fair water parks in the future.
