Blows my mind that they can buy a piece of land that is 1.5 times the size of my home park in order to simply expand!
Nothing to see here. Move along.
I spend way too much of my free time "flying" around the country on Google Earth and Bing Maps, and was always wondering how long it would be until that plot of land was bought/used. Does anyone know of/have a zoning map of Kings Island's borders? I know it is bordered by some protected/military land, but I can never remember where the line is when I'm looking in the satellite views.

Wasn't there some semi-solid buzz about Carowinds looking at the possibility of building a hotel in the not so distant future? I seem to remember some discussion about that, although I could also just be losing my mind. The second is more likely.

The Millitary thing at KI is across the river and not connected. Its a US Army reserve training center. KI has the whole wild animal safari area which includes SOB, Behind Adventure express and FOF that is usable. They do have land behind Beast, Diamondback and the waterpark but that is part of the National and State park.
Plenty of room, The noise thing might be a issue however. Depends on what they build and where.

I'm calling hotel!
You know what? It's not even worth the effort anymore. You know what I was planning to say.
Does anybody know where this plot of land is located? I am wondering if they just bought back the old Paramount Parks building...

Actually gator is very likely right. The Park's PR manager told us it was being planned last year during coasterstock (and gator was there ;-) )

The plot they bought is adjacent to the park so it would not be the Paramount buildings. They were several miles north at I-77 and Arrowood Rd.
Closed topic.
