CDRomless Install?

Here's an odd question.

I'm the proud recipient of a brand-spankin'-new RCT2 disc. I'd like to install it on my travel machine, for long plane flights. This machine is a tablet PC without an internal CD ROM drive. I have an external CD ROM, but I'd prefer not to have to carry it with me on trips on the off chance that I might play. My usual trick of copying the CD on to the hard drive and installing it from there fails. Has anyone successfully installed the game so that it can be played without having a CDROM drive present?
