A man robbed the Castles and Coasters amusement park at gunpoint Friday afternoon and then fled, leading police to set up a perimeter around Metrocenter mall, authorities said.

Wonderful... This is soon to become my home park in another three months. Not that it is much of a park. Well, one thing I can say is that this area has not been any any of my home searching the past few months. I heard this part of town is pretty bad with crime from my co-workers in Phoenix.
Living on the other side of town, this isn't that surprising. It's not in the best of neighborhoods and we've been having a bit of a robbery streak in this economic downturn.
I am doing a minor derail here and can take this to PM is the mods would like.
What part ow town are you in? I am looking in Chandler, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Queens Creek, Sun Lakes and Ahwatukee. The later two are showing to be somewhat out of my price range though at this point. I will be working out of Chandler and South Phoenix, thus why I am looking in this area.
