Carowinds help

No, this isn't a "How crowded will the park be between 11am and 12pm on August 1st? question. But, here's what I need to know. I'll be in Pinehurst this weekend (next to Fayetville). Mapquest says the trip would be 109.96 miles, and 2hrs43 minutes. According to my North Carolina map, there doesn't look to be many major roads, except for 74 (which Mapquest also recommends). I have to drive back the same day to Washington DC, so I'm not feeling terribly optimistic. Anybody know anything shorter?

The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.

IF, I just looked it up on the Rand McNally's website:

http://www.randmcnally.com

And it shows it as just a two hour trip (going through 74 until it hooks up to I-85).

Then again, I leave this up to folks who know the area better. Good luck!

Getting everything in going that far and then going to DC all in one day? I think that would really really really be pushing it. Gotta be close to 10 hours from Charlotte to DC.

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?

I can't really help you, but I can correct the person above and tell you that you should be able to make it to D.C. in 8 hours, maybe less if you drive fast.

6 Hours to DC from Charlotte , The directions you have are great, be careful with the long ride after a day at the park.. I have done the park all day and drove 10 plus hours home to New Jersey.
I forgot to add that I'm on business the first day, and I have Sunday free. But, I still have to return to DC on Sunday with a co-worker.
