Carowinds Food Recommendations

We're making a stop at Carowinds soon; any food recommendations? I see a lot of mentions of Harmony Hall, any others?

I was a big fan of Harmony Hall when I visited. Food hall style. But because I love a good burger, I would recommend Jukebox Diner. It's likely similar to all the other diners at Cedar Fair parks, but usually the park has their own unique burger.

Find the closest Cook Out to the park and go there instead.

Famous Dave's on the entrance road.

I do not find the food at Carowinds to be remarkable. I can't pick out anything that stands out on my visits. I didn't go last year... Didn't they open a new restaurant?

Outside the park, ...I'm pretty picky when it comes to fast food these days, and Culver's is pretty much the best fast food restaurant I've ever been to. I don't have any Culver's locations near me, so it's a treat for me to eat at them. Like a lot of food options in the area, it's not usually open after the park closes.

I didn't know there was a Cook Out nearby, but the ones I've eaten at are decent. There's one of these in my city (Huntington, WV) so I eat there occasionally.

There’s a nice Culver’s across the street.

I'm looking for places to eat inside the park; it's much more efficient in terms of time. We only have one day, and have never been to Carowinds and who knows if/when we'll be back. Sounds like Harmony Hall is our best bet, followed by Jukebox Diner.

But if we find ourselves leaving early due to weather or some other reason, I'll have to make a stop at Cook Out.

Since you're already at Carowinds, I'd recommend stopping over to Knoebels for lunch.

Hi

I did find this topic of interest as I will be making my 2nd visit in late June. When looking through their site (outside of Rita's) nothing stood out to me. I was hoping for options similar to the other Cedar Fair parks.

I did find the responses to be quite funny!!

There is no such thing as a terrible Coaster just ones that haven't been taken care of

Unless there's a little bad weather

...or the season ends early

Wow, that is pretty crappy! I didnt read the whole thread, but did the closure end up being for a private event or did they decide to close because they anticipated low attendance?

As far as Carowinds food, it isn't as good as Cedar Point or Kings Island in my opinion, but Harmony Hall has a couple options in one place. There is also an Italian place (Leonardo's) that had HUGE portions. Blue Ridge Country Kitchen had big portions as well when I visited in April.

I found the walking tacos / burritos to very good and each offering seemed really fresh.

Harmony hall had a nice selection along with some healthier options as well.

If it's anything like the food was last week at Cedar Point (New Frontier Town restaurant, the Grand Pavilion, and Friday's at Breakers), I would recommend hitting the nearest McDonalds for a comparatively gourmet meal.
