I've been through this before... it's no use, my first forum is a prime example:

"Carowinds puts off the 04' hyper"

I totally agree but, according to many of the CB members, we should be happy with Reptar...

Well sadly im not.... and that's all im going to say! ( =

Exactly. We don't need No new Coaster right now. We'll have 13 , and almost all of those are good quality. I say demolish one before you build another.

Bleh.. old news.. ask anyone who went to the ACE Scream-A-Thon October 12th.

Squirrel's name.. Sandy, from Texas (Don't mess with Texas)

And no, we don't need a new coaster.. just as long as they keep bringing in the $$$ (aka families, aka kiddie-sections, duh-huh) I will be happy marathoning Top Gun, Hurler, Thunder Road, Carolina Cyclone, Super Saturator, Ricochet, Scooby Doo, Gold Rusher, and Taxi Jam all day. (But not Vortex. Screw Vortex. j00 sux0r.) And I will be more than happy to add Rugrats Runaway Reptar to the list March 22nd.

[Note-Even though It wasn't my camera I took that pic of Taxi Jam, it appeared in the regional ACE newsletter I'm told. The credit was to Max Cannon (second seat), but he's in the pic, so he can't taking the picture. So just for reference Camera belongs to Jonathan Hawkins (he's in the pic too, back seat), Jay Miller (me) took the picture.]

J- Who mysteriously wore his Spongebob shirt October 12th to Carowinds.. ESP I tells ya..

Our park. r0x0rz. Hey, I've got an idea. ThunderFun can get his club to donate the park a few million bucks, and maybe they won't push the hyper back again ;)

They've pushed the Hyper back so far now that if they do build one, it wouldn't be all that special. With all the new coasters going up in the past couple of years I would almost rather see something new and exciting. How about a Hyper Floorless or an Intamin Launch ride?

I agree, right now, we dont need a new coaster, I'm completly happy with the park now.

But, when we DO get a new "big" coaster, I think an Intamin or Premier launched ride will compliment the parks collection greatly, the could call it "Black Lightning" and their sales pitch could be, "Lightning never stikes the same place twice, or does it?"

to RCmuzikGuY: hahahahahahaha..... NO! (lol)...... goodtimes ( ;....

So, is anyone planning on attending the season pass holders preview day of the Nick Central???? I dunno if i'm even goin to get a pass this year.... and by the way, Black-Lightning may be construde as a racist joke if the new ride were actually to be called that.... It'd be like flying the Confederate flag on the Skytower....

Then by that argument White Lightning was a racist joke as well.

Well, since White Lightnin was themed around "Moonshine" or whatever you want to call it, Black Lightnin would not make much since unless it was themed around Cigaretts or something.

Finally! Spongebob is so much cooler than that sooo stupid 7th Portal. But I have to agree with some of you - Carowinds has been lacking in the thrill area for a while. Their last thrill was Ricochet, and on their website, that fits in the "family" category. Even though they have 13 coasters, 5 are family/kids rides. Runaway Reptar will be cool and all, but I mean - C'mon Carowinds! How much looonger for something for us thrill-seekers?! I even printed out their map and found the best place to fit a new coaster in. Here are my predictions:

2004: Nothing new - Carowinds has started the "saving up" process ;)
2005: A flat - most likely near the Vortex entrance, there's tons of room there.
2006: More saving up.
2007: Carowinds announces "The XtReMe-UlAtOr" A 500-foot looping Intamin floorless. :) :) :)

riiiiigggght....

about Black Lightning, it wouldn't necesarily (sp?) have to match the theme, since over 50% of park guests don't even remember White Lightin', I think its a plausible idea, but thats just me. Paramount might have something completly different in mind. ;)

Yes I think it would, except for the fact that white people aren't aloud to point racism fingers.....

If there's a BET how come there isn't a WET?.... that is not supposed to be an inuendo.

IS ANYONE GOING TO ATTEND THE SEASON PASS HOLDERS PREVIEW DAY OF NICK CENTRAL????

Sorry for yelling but, nobodies answering my question ( =

Are you guys (or any other Paramount park for that matter) getting the other movie as well?

We originally thought we were just getting Spongebob, but now we're also getting something called "Warrior of the Dawn". No one (not even the managers at the park) knows what it is yet, but it sounds cool. Keep an eye out for it, they may suprise you guys with it too.

I doubt it... they'll probably keep the space one, meteor attack. I actually kinda like it!
I hope they change both, IMO Meteor attack is horrible, its just incredibly corny.

I agree that Carowinds is doing a great job attracting the family. I know that since I'm the only coaster addict in the family, there has to be some gentle rides for everyone else for them to take me. Honestly, Carowinds is a great little park, and I think they've done a good job covering a broad demographic. They have Top Gun, Thunder Road, Hurler, etc. for the thrill seekers, and the gentler rides, like Ricochet, and Reptar, for everyone else....I really want that hyper though ;)
