Enjoy a day full of ERT before the park opens and after it closes, an all-you-can-eat buffet, special Q&A session, competitions, sneak peaks, freebies and more! Never before has a coaster event been so "Intimidating." The event is scheduled for July 24.

UPDATE (7/5): Bob Mampe from Bolliger & Mabillard, Inc. will be on hand during lunch to talk about the company and answer your questions!

To view the schedule, contests, or to purchase tickets, please visit the official Carowinds Web site.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

I would love to go, but it like almost every event is on a Saturday. I have a retail store and work Saturdays. I am already closing the shop down for 1/3 of this month for our big trip that includes Coastin' by the Ocean at Morey's Pier.

Sound too scary for me. ;)

You should come down LK! It's got 2 trims, it's not that intimidating...unless the 2nd trim doesn't hit hard.

If its anything like last year.. The attendance #s are relatively low and will provide lots of good ERT time. Not to mention the food wasn't too bad either if thats your thing.

Overall I felt it was well worth the cost to go, I recommend it to those who can make it out there.

I had a question about this event. Is it open for the general public as well or just enthusiasts? I am guessing anyone who comes to the park that day will be able to do the ERT correct? I looked at the Carowinds website and I see where you can purchase tickets for the event so I guess it is open to both the GP and Enthusiasts.

Uh, who gets to say if you're an enthusiast? If you know about the event, you bought tickets ahead of time, and you probably learned about it from an enthusiast Web site. So really, what's your concern?

I was just asking that is all. I mean Coastermania you have to be a member of a coaster club and you can bring a guest to the event. I don't really care either way I was just asking.

I thought that Collin was probably asking if he had to be a "card carrying" enthusiasts or not.

You do not. That was brought up on another board, and Bryn, the PR rep, changed the wording on the website so that you no longer have to be a member of any particular club.
