Carowinds announces changes

Carowinds is dropping its ticket prices for the first time since opening in 1973. Frenzoid will return this year as Southern Star, and an ice show called "Carowinds Endless Summers on Ice" will begin.

Frenzoid's coming back? Awesome.

Almost makes up for the lack of (new) rides for 2007. Hopefully in 2008 we'll get SV and in 2009 an actual, by god, new coaster. Which Carowinds won't have had for 10 years by that time. I don't count the Flying Super Saturator as its more of a water ride, and Runaway Reptar because kiddie SLCs are Satan.

Why did Paramount ever remove Frenzoid to begin with?
Haven't been to Carowinds since 2003, when I had my Infamous "MasterCard Moment" while making a Connection on US Airways in Charlotte.
