Carowinds 9/6/15

I decided to head out to my home park after not having been for around a month. Living 5 minutes away makes it a pretty easy trip. I showed up at 2:30 and left at 8 since it isn't a new experience and there are honestly only 3 rides that interest me there. I decided to go to the waterpark. I rode two slides and then got bored. I got some good views of all the land clearing going on. Then I headed to Intimidator. This summer it has constantly been two train operations. I suspected that they were refurbing a train, and I feel like that assumption proved correct. If you've been on intimidator you probably know that the lapbars are pretty worn out. Today my seat had a newer lap bar, and it didn't exactly take a James Bond to figure that one out. Back row, best ride I've had on it in a while. Recently there has been a slight rattle to the ride. Today it was glossy smooth. Then I decided to ride Carolina Cobra since I haven't ridden it this season. It isn't a bad ride. It's pretty smooth but it is kind of boring. Then I rode the drop tower and scream weaver, and decided it was time to burn two dollars on a fury locker rental. I rode fury front row, then back row. I wasn't willing to wait in that line again, so I rode Afterburn, which is a fantastic, intense ride. After that I bought a intimidator cup for the high price of $2.50. Then I decided to leave again. Not a particularly special visit, but still a fun time. I'm looking forward to haunt and then just a break from parks in the offseason.

I want to make a joke about ejector seats, but I'm sure there are Plenty O'Tooles that would get all shaken (not stirred) up about it.
