Carolina Splash - CoasterBuzz

Does anyone remember Carolina Splash? It was in Heritage USA not too far from Carowinds and it was a waterpark. I remember it when I was little and we used to go all the time. I think it closed around the same time Carowinds opened up WaterWorks... does anyone know why it closed and if you know where I can find any pictures of it? Thanks:)

I LOVED Carolina Splash. The Typhoon (I believe was the name) waterslide on the side of the cliff there was great, and none of the 'straight-down' waterslides that I've been on since have been able to beat it. The park was doomed when Heritage died, but the company that bought it managed to keep it going pretty strongly for a few years. It seemed fairly crowded everytime I went, but I think Charlotte just didn't have the market for 2 parks so close to each other.
