Carolina Beach, North Carolina voted unanimously today and approved plans for a seasonal amusement park along the Boardwalk. This is pretty excited news because the old amusement park that was down the road closed 2 years ago.

Any news articles or anything to go along with that? Sounds exciting, though. Here's a RCDB link for the now defunct Jubilee Park:

That is great news. Although Jubilee wasn't much, the owner did a nice job of restoring his 1951 Herschell Little Dipper coaster.
Here's an article from a simple Google search.

Very nice to see another park being built, but anyone think that this could be stopped in its tracks?

No, I don't think it will get stopped in its tracks because it was just announced that they approved the plans last night on the news. The park is going to be seasonal with carnival rides mostly, nothing big.

That is a link to the news site that stated there were plans that were going to be voted on. They have been voted on and approved since that article was published.
