capturing videos

I just bought the game and tried capturing a couple of videos of my new rides, but the frames advance very slowly and I don't feel like waiting half an hour to capture video of one ride. Has anyone else had this problem, or is it just me? Is there a way to fix it? Thanks...
The best way I found to capture the video is to use FRAPS, www.fraps.com. Version 1.9d is completely free and doesn't have a watermark. The newest version does put a watermark on your videos unless you pay for it.

It still doesn't record at any type of high speed, but I have found it's faster than the in-game recording engine.

Set the screen resoultion lower. Essentially the game draws a frame, captures it, draws the next frame, captures it, etc. The less it has to draw, the faster is goes. It will still be ridiculously slow, but...

I've seen several very nicely done videos on the Atari site and wonder how they are able to pull of recording such nice videos. Anyone know how they do it? I mean, some of their videos are 4 and 5 minutes long and it would take me nearly all day to record that much footage. I have the same problem as Drachen Fire, WAAAY to much time to record a video nd the quality is so bad. I'm always moving and such and the videos never come out smooth and professional looking. Any tips on that?

I posted a bunch of high quality clips here:

My secret? I recorded them to digital tape, reimported them, used good compression software.

How do you use the in-game recording engine? I can't find it in the game.

Make sure you go to the options and check the allow in-game videos first. Then like Gonchar said F11 to start and hit it again to stop.
Could the thingy (Can you tell I'm not Mr. computer savy!) at fraps.com record a No Limits video too?

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
Fraps should be able to capture video in any game! or at least it said so on fraps.com!
It does work. It took a little playing with to get the settings right (hum.... I wonder what this slide does?) but it does work with NL.

Ok, now since I've got the program and have yet to play with it, does it just record video?
