Canobie's New Tower a S&S but..........

Well on Screamscape it is semi confirmed the park is getting a new 80 ft tower. the park has a 80ft limit and the site says its a S&S Double Shot and will also add a S&S Frog Hopper. My Question is what is a Double Shot tower like. What does it do exactly??

ahhhh, the Double-Shot - basically it throws you up in the air, then YANKS you back to Earth...repeatedly.  We have one here at WA.  Picture a really short Power Tower (if you've seen the Discovery shows on CP), now shrink to 1/4 scale.  The difference in the NUMBER of times you "bounce"...much better air on the shorter rides IMO.  Stan Checketts likes them bigger and faster, but these provide a GREAT ride for their size - the man is a genius with compressed air!

It's basically a 80-85 ft pneumatic tower that rockets cars upwards then yanks it immediately downward. A bit like a combination of a Space Shot/Turbo Drop, but unfortunately, without the heights to match even the standard Space Shot or Turbo Drop, which stand 185 ft.
Lake Compounce must be savig up for something. It doesn't make sense that a park that does better than Funtown and Canobie doesn't have an S&S tower. My geuss is they are saving up for an Intamin free fall ride.
Is the one at Indiana Beach a double shot?  Just curious since I was able to ride it this summer.  It was quite different than any other S&S tower that I had been on (CP's, Big Shot & DCA's).  Definately more airtime at the top of that one since it starts yanking the 'vehicle' back down while your body is still trying to go up.  Every other one you get some floating air at the top but I was never pushed into the shoulder harness like on the one at IB.
The one at Indiana Beach is a Double Shot (im guessing thats why they named it "Double Shot").  In my opinon the smaller ones like at Indiana Beach are better than say Cedar Points Power Tower because of the air time you get at the top,  I think thats awesome.   By the way does anybody know the height of Indiana Beachs Double Shot?

Thanks for clarifying that for me.  I didn't even look at the name of the ride, so I guess that would have answered my question, oh well, that's why we have this site and other buzzers to help us out.  As far as the height, I have no idea but I would guess it's under 100 feet tall for sure.
There is a short S&S tower at a strip mall in Myrtle Beach and I would say that it gives just as good of a ride as Doctor Dooms.  Maybe not quite as good of a view but there was definitely some nice air at the top.

Beer, My Baby, and Coasters. Is this a great country or what? ;)
Like I said before, all Double Shot towers range in height from 80 to 85 FT.
The Double Shot at Indiana Beach is GREAT...I agree with CoasterDude316, I have always thought the same thing and compared it with Power Tower. No doubt, I like Power Tower...but Double Shot adds something that Power Tower seems to miss (roughness? as odd as that sounds).
