Canobie Lakes Tower 2002!

Hey, ive been hearing canobie will get a tower type ride which will replace moon orbiters, anyways has anyone else heard this and will it be an S&S or Inatimin? what kind do u think it'll be.............

Isn't it going to be their 100th anniversrey(sp)?

Perhaps they will rehab coaster to emphasis the eras:

Yankee Cannonball : 30's PTC :), a roaring coaster times

Canobie Corkscrew: the Corkscrew era

Galaxi: The compact coaster era

And maybe they will add an S&S tower as a symbol of the new thrill ride era.

I'm 25 minutes away from CLP.  I know we're getting the tower but that's all I know.  I've ridden my last ride on the Moon Orbiter.

I heard that CLP wanted to build a CCI woodie behind the corkscrew in the "old canobie" section of the park.  I guess the town said no for some reason so I don't understand how they got permission to put in a tower.  I hope they do get it though, cause Canobie is only 45 min away!!!

That sounds like a smart move since another small park just up north added a tower attraction, which worked well for them...

That doesn't make much sense that a small park like CLP is adding a major freefall, and Lake Compunce, a park with much larger income does not have anything of the sort yet.

lake componce sucks. they already have a whole bunch of rides. why u got to be so greedy!

Lake compounce does not suck at all, Mikemir87. Do not just make ignorant comments because you are jealous of of Lake compounce for actually getting rides over the last decade. You really should go there, Boulder Dash is a world class woodie which never has a line!! there are a fewer other decent rides at LC, like the haunted house and wildcat, definitely worth a 2 hour drive and the $20 admission.

I hope Canobie gets a S&S tower, it really needs a new and exciting attraction for it to stay alive. I haven't gone to Canobie in two years since I have been on all the major coasters plenty of times at Canobie and nothing major has been added in a few years. IMO, yankee cannonball is the only coaster and ride that is real exciting, loads of airtime!! Also, maybe the turkish twist!!

When will CLP get a coaster?  That would be a great addition to the park obviously.  It should be a small one with three inversions like Corkscrew at Cedar Point.  That would be perfect for this small park.
