Well I went to Canobie Lake Park (CLP) and had a great day...

Ratings (ABCDF) (1 Lowest 5 Highest)

Coasters:

Yankee Cannonball: 5 A

Great ride, looked great with new Red Trim and was running smoooth and full of airtime! 20 mins (2 rides)

Canobie Corkscrew: 4 B

I noticed that when i sat in the last car i got very little headbanging, but when i sat in the middle, i my neck/head got banged a little. Good ride though. walk ons (5 rides)

Rockin' Rider: 3 C

Well, Last year Rockin' Rider was better, this year a heavily trimmed Rockin' Rider was running... I counted like 5 trims on the ride, and it wasnt even reridable again, because it wasnt that great and because it had a loooong line... 25mins (1 ride)

(kiddie) Dragon coaster

I'm not going to lie, i didnt do it for "the count" i did it because i think this coaster is... interesting... I had a good ride and it was fun. Walk on (Back seat, 1 ride)

Rides

Well This is one of the reasons i love this park, Its HUGE selection of rides (non coasters) and i will type every ride i went on with ratings ABCDF 1 - 5 1 - low 5 - high

Log Flume : 4 A-

First ride of the day and it was great, i love this log flume...

Timbersplash watercoaster 4 B

The Green tubes as i refer to it was the second ride of the day with a 3 minute wait, but the rest of the day it was pushin a half hour...

Skiped the dark ride, once you ride it once you shouldnt really ride again...

Pirate Ship - 5 A-

I love this ride...

Giant Sky Wheel - 4 B

Last ride of the day... good ferris wheel

skipped the flyers and tilt a whirl...

Boston Tea Party - 5 A

Great Shoot the Chute, When they say the wettest ride in New England they mean it because you get 90% Drenched!

Turkish Twist (rotor) 3 B-

Well the area were you can watch was blocked off today unfortuanatly... But the ride was kinda painful this year...

Caterpillar - 4 B

O.K. Ride, antique and good for its time... i enjoyed it and i like the operating canopy

Sky Ride - 4 B

Stopped twice which was a little scary but good ride...

ParaTrooper - 4 B+

Great flat ride...

Physco Drome - 4 A-

Great special effects and the indoor scrambler is awsome.

Carousel - 3 C+

Got stuck on a horse that didnt move...

MatterHorn - 5 A

Awsome - on of my fav flats...

STARBLASTER! - 5 A-

Great ride, really short but is fun, 2 moments were you get HUGE airtime...

Dodgems - 4 B+

Good bumper car ride...

BAD NEWS/Ride Removals...

Well the Missle is no longer a ride... its now a piece of scenery... its fenced in now and it just scenery...

And One of my fav flats there the Round up looks like its being taken out the Whole car was out of there and the bottom, were the motor was is left and the sign is out and its blocked by some umbrella... Why is this being taken out!?

And the only ride i saw closed today was

Over the Rainbow... (balloon ride)

Atmosphere:

GREAT, Trees EVERYWERE Lots of shade, lots of fountains and gardens, and the park just looks great, Behind Corkscrew theres a good amount of space and i hope Canobie gets a coaster Soon...

Over All Rating : 5 A-

Also, Does Canobie Corkscrew Ever operate with two trains? Because there was an extra train on the transfer Track, And i didnt think it ever had 2 train op... has anyone seen it? And Why does YC only use one train, the second one was on the transfer track and que was full, Why couldnt they use the other train!?

Cool TR. I've never seen the Corkscrew run two trains. I didn't even know they had a second one. Are they running two trains on Yankee Cannonball? I haven't been there since last year. Sadly I won't make a trip to Canobie this year:(.

Maybe they are still a little shaken up over the accident last year and that is why they are not using both very often.

And BTW The food was also great, and very reasonably priced.

I'm told YC will have one train only for the rest of the season, then this winter they will finish up some work on the new brake systems (as required after last year's collision) to allow 2-train ops to resume next year. Corkscrew has two trains but I have never seen them both in use, the ride cycle is probably too short for it to be of any benefit...

Steve is right. After the collision, they aren't running two trains on Cannonball due to them not being "confident" with the brakes yet. At the ACE meeting they also mentioned magnetic brakes being installed-but that was just a suggestion.
