I'd perfer not to have one of the slingshots that actually uses bungee cords. I'd perfer the weight/spring/steel cable method. :)

Well, John... that's why you're an idiot.
Haven't you noticed that same $40 gets you a MUCH longer ride with the bungee model, not to mention the fact that you never get the same ride twice?
Screw the cables.... ;)

There's a difference, though. Rob hates me. I think he's the most awesome guy in the world (so nice, so clean, so fresh!) but all he does is make me cry.
I ran into him at HWN and he made me cry TWICE.
He sucks.

LOL, John. Did you throw rocks at Nasai or something? Didn't you see Rob's rules about "handling" Nasai, last fall?
Does anyone not hate you? ;) *** Edited 8/25/2006 5:45:09 AM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

I don't want a ride being operated by a guy in a sombrero and fanny pack. That scares me.

I know it's not exactly the same, but as a kid I snapped rubber bands MANY times. Steel cables, I've CUT, sure, but only with specified equipment. Just TRUST cables....
That being said, the one in Kissimmee was operated by steel cables, so now I feel a NEED to ride one that utilizes bungees. Once, at least... :)

There's a difference between a sky coaster and a bungee. You definately can't bungee with steal cables. IT's a slingshot, not a swing.

Flying Scooters: Snapping the cables is good.
SkyCoaster or Bungee: snapping cables is very bad.
Such a fine line. :)
