Can we talk about Coastermania?

I'm not sure if this is PC or not, but I wanted to talk about Coastermania. I've never gone and I have just been invited to go with my family as their guest. I am excited. I was wondering, what kind of turn-out does it have, is two hours for each ride enough ERT considering the turnout, and what kinds of experiences other people have had with it. No matter what, I'm going, but am interested in any comments. *** This post was edited by Dirk on 5/9/2001. ***
This site's sister site, Guide to the Point has a number of threads giving info. about Coastermania. I have never been to one but am going this year!
Do you have to be a member of an organization to attend this event? I would really like to go but currently I am not a member of anything.

Members of organizations (like ACE or NAPHA) are allowed to buy tickets for non-member friends or family. I think you can buy up to four tickets.

You have to be a member of any coaster club. You must show an official membership card when you register. Coaster Club member can purchase up to 3 tickets for non-member friends/family.

Thank you for riding America's Roller Coast
It is on June 1, and it is a blast! I went last year and had the best day of my life. Yes, there certainly is ERT. This year, morning ERT is for Raptor, Mantis, Blue Streak. Night ERT is for Magnum and MF.

Someone in your party of up to 4 must be a member of a recognized coaster club and present your member card at the park.

You get some cool buttons for the ERT. If you have any thought about going, I encourage you to go. It's really cool.

Last year, I was in the park for 19 hours and I rode MF, Mantis, Raptor, and Magnum all 4 times.
Don't forget the free lunch. The BIG free lunch.

Yeah, if you're not a club member, just latch on to one of the members here. There are plenty of ACE and ECC members among us!

Yes that is right Jeff! ;) Last year was the most popular turn out for CM as I have ever seen...don't except ERT like a CoasterCon or a local event now. ;)
The park is open for the public but coaster clubs have reservations on rides, before the park opens, and after the park closes, right? Should be a killer time. I just got a membership to a club and plan on going to this. See ya'll there. Wear your shirts!

I'd like to wear a coasterbuzz t-shirt. When are they going to be sold?
