Can someone tell me what's the closest....

I was wondering what is the closest Major airport to Paramounts Kings Dominion? I have tried searching online but I don't seem to come up with anything other then Norfolk which is over 2 hours away. Sorry if this isn't coaster related but I couldn't think any one better to ask but CoasterBuzzers. Also if anyone knows of any good places to stay around that would help too.

Thanks

Carrie

It depends entirely on where you're coming from, in my opinion, to decide where to fly in. From Cleveland, we fly in to visit almost anything in the mid-Atlantic to BWI (just north of DC). It's about two hours to PKD from there (three to BGW, three to SFGAdv, one to SFA, three to Dorney). Richmond, VA would be closest I bet, or perhaps Reagan, but I bet it'll cost more to fly to those.

Thank you so much. We are coming from South Florida, either Miami or Fort Lauderdale. I am just trying to plan a quick weekend trip for June 21-23. There is a concert I am interested in seeing and they will be playing both Kings Island and Kings Dominion. I have the choice of either park but thought VA would be easier to get to. I figured what better way to get to visit a park we have never been to and get to see a concert. Any suggestions on which park you would chose? It would still be the same weekend. Thanks for any input and pray that my husband okay's this trip :)

Richmond is closest, but probably pretty expensive to fly into. Reagan National is the next closest, but look at air fares into Baltimore-Washington International and you will probably want to drive a little longer to save major money on air fares.
