Can ACE members get invited to media days?

I'm planning to become a member of ACE. I'm wondering if i can show up during media days?

It's the easiest way to get invited. Pay attention to the email newsletters from your local ACE representative.

You don't need to be an ACE member to get invited, but it sure doesn't hurt. If the park gets enough riders without contacting ACE for additional people, then your membership won't necessarily get you invited.....parks are going to invite people they know personally first, kinda "stacks the deck" in terms of how the ride reviews come out.....

So far, I've gotten invites to SFoG and a Kraken media day, but getting off work on weekdays with short notice is hard....:(

X Fan,

It should be noted that just because someone is in ACE doesn't mean they are automatically included in a media day. Some parks will invite loads of ACE members while some parks won't invite any at all. It all depends on the park.

Hey man. Wanna buy some weed? Crack? Freepass on Millennium Force? I got the hook up...

Joe,

Cedar Point does not invite masses of ACE members for their media days. They usually invite those they have a relationship with most of the time. If I am not mistaken, they did invite a lot of ACE members to a media day over 10 years ago and it didn't exactly work to their liking so they are now more carefull on who they invite.

From personal experience, I was invited to several media events this year. Unfortuantely all were too far away except one which I had a scheduled conflict for.

*nod* Just to clarify on my previous post, I didnt mean to say that i should of heard about it.... just saying i didnt hear about it if it was an ACE invited thing. (Not trying to sound like im blaming my rep, cause im not.. Hes a good guy and does his job well :))

Live on the edge and remember the Twist of Fate.

I have been invited to a few media days. Most recently the one for Superman Ultimate Flight. I think it helps to be a member of ACE and sometimes you aren't exactly invited, but if you ask a rep. they can usually get you in.

As an ACE member I would tell you not to join ACE just to go to media days and special park events. Join ACE because you are a coaster enthusiast and want to meet and have fun with other people that share the same passion for coasters as you do. I have had the opportunity to go to several media days and special events and I consider the parks invitation to these events to be a special honor and not a right of membership.
I am a coaster esthusiast, i just want to know if being ACE member is worth it.
