Buzz Poll

Just wondering how many buzzers have been keeping an eye on the latest poll. I've been an outspoken (some might say too outspoken) opponent of the whole Fastpass/Fastlane idea, but my reasoning is that AT BEST it hurts overall ride capacity only a little. I know some are opposed to the idea because of the upcharge. Since only 3 of 10 (at least here) seem to support this type of idea, WHY are so many parks willing to do it for the small amount of money involved? Seems to me that the cost in terms of customer satisfaction outweighs the relatively minor, and VERY short-term, financial gain...

Personally, I think it's nothing more than legalizing line jumping for those people willing to pay more. But I won't get into that -- as for the customer satisfaction, those individuals that do pay for it may tend to be very satisfied, so it would balance out with those that are dissatisfied with the policy. Money is money, I guess. Probably it won't last, with all the outcry.

I like the "reservation" type idea that Disney has. It is good, but I would bet that their intentions were not to make life easier for the park patron, but the less time you spend in line, the more money you are spending on food, souvenirs, games, etc... So I don't think we should be fooled by their "niceness". However, I do not like the pay plans where you can get to the front of the line. It is unfair to those who can't afford it. I can afford it, and think it is unfair. I do think "clubmember/season passholder" days when they open the park early for "members" or guests of the resort is fair. You aren't offending anyone since the parks would normally be closed at those times.

It is Fair because it is available to everybody!!!!
Consider it an upgrade.

Disneys system may be free but if you payed for any disney ticket it would cost almost as much as a six flags ticket plus the cost for a Fast pass or q-bot figuring you had two people in your party.

The Fastlane helps if a person is visiting a park for vacation and only has two days to visit.

The Fastlane helped my brother and I when we went to SFGAm in July for 3 days. I was able to get on all of the rides.

personally i dont think they should use any type of fastpass, or fastlane or whatever. its stupid. everyone should wait the same amount of time. its just a hasle with the fast pass and fast lanes. with the money ones its gonna turn into a carnival at parks where you will have to pay to get in and pay to ride the ride. because everyone will be in the fast lane.so you'd have no choice but to buy the tickets as well.

Not really, you wont have to buy i ticket if you don't want to, and just wait in the stand by like everyone else, if people want to buy a ticket then do so i think it a great idea because after those people leave they wont come back and ride it also if your on a short time it good too.

Well you asked so here it is.

Its kinda like saying hey you can't break the law unless you give me some money then i'll just look the other way.

Something truely unfair to people who have waited in line for 2 hrs.

Surely though it *is* fair as it is available to everyone. If you can't afford it surely that is just unfortunate.

Similarily is it fair that Disney charge more to enter their parks then say Six Flags. Just because someone cannot afford to enter a Disney park, does that mean they should lower the price to Six Flags prices, just because some may not be able to afford their current price? *** This post was edited by WoodyBear on 8/16/2001. ***

If EVERYBODY bought a FastPass, then we'd be right back where we were a few years ago before this whole mess started!

One big long line...

A reasonable number of reservations available to all on an equal basis is just fine. Creating 2 classes of guests by selling reservations is something quite different, and I am strongly opposed to it.
