i wish more parks would be more willing to give auction off stuff. HW is one of the few parks that realizes that us enthusiasts will buy just about anything.

Most parks...most people, in fact, just don't understand how it is with ride nuts. I was out in Portland, OR and talking with a maintenance guy from Funtastic Shows. When he found out I was a ride nut, he related the story of an ACE event at the Western Washington Fair coaster (which Funtastic owns and maintains) where the assembled coaster nuts cleaned out all kinds of crap he was planning to pay somebody to haul away... :)

And what exactly would you do with pieces of rides? Look at it? Wear it? Riiight.
The coaster car will soon(if everything works out) be owned by a CoasterBuzzer...
I won't, I just have 10 hours to finish the deal. I emailed the guy once and he emailed me back. Then I emailed him back but I am still waiting for a answer. ------------- Ride with full FORCE http://www.experiencethepoint.com
Buy a B&M inverted row and mount it like a porch swing. Accuakky I wanted a yankee clipper boat when PGA tore it down, put a matress in it and make a bed ------------- 2001 the year of the California roller coaster
That is wrong Andrew, bid like the rest of us. He still has to give it to the higher bidder.

What I want to know is what a kid in middle school is going to do with an old PTC car, and how he's going to cross several states to get it.

Bruce my deal was if no one bided on the car...
Jeff I am in high school... Several of my family members are great at restoring old things and I just couldn't pass this deal up... I am not going to cross several states to pick it up, I have a friend who lives about a hour a way from the guy who is selling it. And like I said before I been talking to ACE and am going to donate it to the Museum.
I wonder what the fate the of the old Steel Phantom bodies will be.
Chris is right, PKI/PKD should auction off the OL:FOF horsecollars. I'd buy one and then sell it to a pharmaceutical company - those things have to have some historical value to the makers of Advil...
