Business of Parks on Holidays

Easy enough, are parks usually busy on holidays? (such as Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, etc.) Particularly, has SFGAm been busy on Memorial Day? I am considering going on Memorial Day this year but I would not appreciate a crowded park.

Well, I went to PKI on Easter and it was PERFECT! The weather was nice and there was hardly anyone there..Walk-on heaven! Of course one year I went on July 4th and it was PACKED!

I guess is depends on the park and the time of year.

Lets just put it this way. On Labor day and Memorial day parks are so crowded the only way you can get from point A to B is by crowd surfing. There are 5 times a year you dont want to goto a park.

#1 Labor day/Memorial day weekend

#2 4th july week

#3 Week (or two) before the local schools go back into session.

#4 The last week of May and first week of June. Lots of schools take ther senior trips.

#5 Any day there is a major major artist at the park.

Well, 4th of July and the week of have been unusually light at SFGAm, in my experience. But that's only going on two years experience, one of which where it rained for two hours or so in the morning, scaring everyone off.

I went to BGT on Christmas Eve. Best day ever. lol I just wanted to say that.
I have went to SFGAM the last two memorial days and both times the park was very busy and i regretted going the second time and forgetting how busy it was.

It seems like on Labor Day people are "theme parked out"and the crowds werent big at all.

#2 and #1 are just plain wrong. Always go to SFGAm on Memorial day weekend, never have a real problem. And accoriding to HP guest realtions the busiest week of the year is the week after the 4th of July, I have seriously not had a crowded park experience the week of July 4th ever and that is when we do our traveling most of the time. #4 is also wrong, the school groups are there the week before memorial day (because of finals) and the first two weeks in June are probably the best two weeks of summer for light attendance (with the exception of the last week in Aug).

I have heard the day after Thanksgiving is a bad day to go to Silver Dollar City. Is true at other parks that are open at this time of year?

I went to Holiday World on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and there was no one there. Raven was a walk-on from 4 p.m. to closing.

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

I went to Adventureland in Des Moines and WoF last Memorial Day weekend, and neither park was particularly busy.
